Need inspiration for Museaum Base art pieces

I'm currently remodeling a base into a Museum, and could use inspiration for art installations to put into it.

If you have any that it'd be ok for me to use (or just draw inspiration from) I'd much appreciate an image or link.

I'll of course browse the base section and see what I can come up with, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask all you creative folks in the meantime.

Marry form and function. One of our medical rooms is an art gallery displaying all of the basic and auxillary items.

Start with your favorite artists. I'm mad for Chihuly and created a hanging piece using spirit signals and lanterns.





It looks bigger and more impressive when logged in the base. Translation: It looks bigger and more impressive in my head .

I finished work on my own small art gallery-esque room recently for the purpose of actually using some of the veteran items we get. Here's a link to an album with six pictures of different angles of the floorspace, maybe you can get something from them:

My favorite touch is the red panel border behind the tile mosiac/wall painting. Elegant.

It was more a stroke of luck than planning that it turned out that way with the painting, but the height is perfect and even with the rest of the false walls and painting areas so everything turned out great I think!

I'm inspired to finish our arcane gallery now, Kranik

PS. What is so enchanting about those lamps? I use them quite a bit too.

This is a modern art installation in our casino betting room. I liken it, in my head, to a flourescent willow tree.

I put the lamps in because of that image, it was the perfect way to decorate the water walkway area and provide good mood lighting! My thought is the same: it looks like a willow tree!

I have been struggling with how to make one room in my base like an office. Okay I have been trying to do the Godfather Office... seeing this has just given me some ideas to work with. Thanks all.
