Login fails to load sound?

So, when I enter the log in for City of heroes, the music and sound are playing fine. But as soon as I start to type in my password, a message comes up saying: ./piggs/sound2.pigg Corrupt Pig file dected.
Read failed for file: sound/Ogg/FrontEnd/Type2.ogg

Your data might be corrupt, please run the patcher and try again.
And I did re-run the patcher, but the same error came up. So when I close out the box and enter the game, there's no sound. Any idea WTF is going on?

Open the NCSoft launcher.

Right click city of heroes to open it's drop down menu.

It will be an option like "Repair" or "Force Consistancy Check".

If after running that it still won't work - go into the COH folde and delete any file with "checksum" in it's name AND go into the pigg folder and delete the sound2 pigg file (or whatever the name of the offending file is).

Thanks for the help Rajani Isa! It worked but, later on today I got the "Going Rogue" expansion, the one where you have to put in a CD and install it. So when it does the new patch (on the old patcher, not the new one), an error pops up after around 10 minutes saying: failed to rename C:\Progam Files\City of Heroes/tempfile to C:\Progam Files\City of Heroes/piggs/bin.pigg

I will probably make another thread about it to get some answers.

The only upgrade you need to do is adding your code to your account at CityOfHeroes.com

Your client is already (or was) current and had all the GR info (one client no matter what your accept has access too. Not like old EQ were you could have packs you did not own not install. I recall many flying dwarves before I added luclin )

So launch the NCSoft launcher again and verify.
