Ax/Elec questions

I love my Claws/WP Brute A LOT! He is fast and deadly. Like a whirling blender of death. That being said I wanna make a new one and was thinking Ax/Elec might be nice. But I have some questions for folks who have one. To whit..

1. Since Ax is a slower set (than say, claws), does Lightning Reflexes mitigate that to the point where Hasten is unnecesary?

2. The heal from Energize, is it ok when it is IO'd, or do I need Aid Self as a pool power?
also, is there ANY + regen in Elec, or am I going to have to get it from IO sets?

3. Is it even a viable Brute combo? I don't give a hoot about farming, but I just like to do big damage, and not die really fast.

A lot of folks here seem to really like /elec and are often singing it's praises. Since I really like a run in, hit em, fast, fast, fast, playstyle I think I might like it.

1. Should be fine. Axe/Mace don't really need a huge pile of recharge to shine. The set has a lot of good attacks so getting a good chain going is easy. Some recharge, which Lightning Reflexes and enhancements should cover, will keep you rolling.

2. Not enough experience to really tackle that one, but I've never really heard of people needing Aid Self for Electric. Energize provides 100% regen for 30 seconds.

3. Of course. Axe drinks endurance like athletes drink Gatorade and Electric provides limitless endurance. Top of the pile, probably not, but for what you're looking for it should be a good hell of the way up the road from viable.

And if you're wanting to try Axe out, just ignore the eventual post telling you to go with Mace. Axes are cooler.

I have an Axe tank that I like a lot. I LOVE the knockdown. It "feels" more reliable than the disorient you get from mace. Plus they don't stagger away from you.

To answer #2, no, you won't need Aid Self. Energize is a substantial heal and should give you somewhere between +190% ~ +200% regen while its buff is up, which is more than half the time even before Hasten and +rech from IO sets.

While regen isn't bad to pick up you're not going out of the way, IO set +rech is basically more regen for ElA, because it means better Energize uptime.

Ok, so when does the "dont worry about end." bit kick in? I got her to 12 and she is eating end. big time! I have Stamina 2 slotted with DO's, and End. Red. DO's in Gash and Swoop. And she is still killing the end. If I keep Sprint off then it is a little better, but I stress the "little". Am I pretty much waiting till 28 for Energize, then trying to get it as perma as I can? I did not take Lightning Field cuz I figured I could not afford it, but I saw on ParagonWiki that it is also an End. Mod. So is it worth it as that to take it, if I slot it for End Mod?

Ohh, so the end mod in that drains them more and doesnt give me anything?
