If you've unlocked a slot it's unlocked across all of your builds.
If you've built a power it stays built regardless of which build you have active.
You can change your incarnate slotting mostly at will (as long as neither you nor a team member is in combat I believe) so you still have those build options available to you regardless though. You just don't HAVE to do it that way either. I personally have two alpha and two destiny slottings available on my blaster that I change out depending on the situation.

I just started working on a second build for my main, but I'm a little hazy on how the Incarnate slots would apply to anything other than one's primary build. Does the entire tree and equipped slots transfer over to all builds, or will I need to slot each build's Incarnate tree separately (which means more grind, but also more build options)?
