Which of these fits Energy Aura best?

All,

TL;DR: Claws, Super Strength, Kinetic or Electric to pair with Energy Aura?

Long Rambling Details:

I have a Dark Melee / Energy Aura Brute who is level 26 that I like, but I'm planning to delete him. I know that Dark Melee fits well (-acc, self-heal) with EA (def) but I think I'd rather do DM/Shield and then do something else with EA.

Of the following brutes, which mesh best with Energy Aura?

Claws
Super Strength
Kinetic Melee
Electric Melee

I don't have any specific goals for my primary. I've played them all before to level 50 on Brutes, Scrappers, or Tankers, so there isn't one I haven't tried yet. So it just comes down to "vibe" and the vibe I like (which doesn't match Brutes, but it is in my nature) is survivability. Slow and Steady. Relax but don't stop.

As for the other primaries, the above those which will have the least repeat issues for me (that are not also being worked on in some other build currently). That's where the list comes from.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I don't know if they would be the best, but I'd probably mix either claws or kin with /EA. They seem to fit thematically, and as awesome as SS is, I can't seem to play a brute with it for very long. No clue why Kinda sad, I have one with a hilarious concept, but he sits shelved, waiting for a powerset combo.

Elec might be interesting, but I haven't tried it.

I run an Elec/Energy, Lenina. She was actually my first character who survived her 20s, but she's still going strong. Lightning rod do great PBAeE damage and Overload make you survive team wipes. The combination also replicate two things you usually don't like enemies doing to you, and that you may remember with awe from other games: jumping charges and endurance drain.

A downside of elec/nrg is that you are vulnerable to toxic and psionic damage. In addition, you will need to boost your other defenses by IOs to achieve softcap. Use 4-slotted Kinetic Melee in as many single target powers you can afford, and 6-slot Scirocco Dervish in AoE powers (not just one of them). Get Combat Jumping and Weave, a +3% def IO, and maybe sacrifice one of the elec powers with a 6-slotted taunt set (they have great defense buffs, and are cheap).
