but have decided maybe the following would be better, I rarely use Char, fiery embrace, or build up.. tell me which you think is better and why please?

I think you could probably squeeze a bit more performance out of the build.
End cost will go up a bit, but so will defense.
Right now your resists are woefully overslotted (and some are taken ridiculously late). Reordered the power selections a bit.
Also, while some of the bonuses from the sets are nice, especially in your AoEs, it's going to kill you on endurance consumption.

Why slot char and taunt? this toon is mostly used for farming, so burn seems to be my highest source of dps, yet it isnt fully slotted, just curious as to why.

Set bonuses? It's not always about DPS, surviving is nice too. With a fully slotted Taunt, Buildup and 4 slotted Scorch, Brawl and Kick my fire/fire has 46% s/l, 26% e/n and 43% melee for positional not covered with s/l and e/n

P.S. If your making posts about Fire/Fire builds it is best to state if its farming or actual tanking ( TF / SF ) as the 2 builds can be drastically different. Most people will not give you much help with farming builds as it is posted to death and a simple search will reveal 4+ threads in the last 2 months alone.

Trial tanking builds can require billions of inf and is a good thing to discuss before you waste the inf and repsec's.

Char is mainly for set bonuses and to give you another attack.

Taunt is for set bonuses (defense and recharge) and you want taunt because if you're outputting that kind of damage you're going to have enemies doing the "run away" thing. Taunt can help draw them back.

Also, in my build, don't simply look at the number of slots. Look at the stats.

On my build, accuracy is 2% lower (though your set bonuses widen the gap further), damage is 13% higher, EndRed is 20% higher, and Recharge is 41% higher.
It hits with sufficient accuracy, hits the same damage (including the damage buffs in your sets), doesn't eat as much of your blue bar when set off, and is up more often.

nice, ok, so i understand char and taunt now.. but why build up and fiery embrace? are they worth using? I rarely hit them currently when farming.

Buildup increases your damage output and gives you +ToHit.
Firey Embrace boosts your damage out put and gives a +Damage (Fire) component to all melee attacks.

Basically these boost your damage capacity enormously for short periods. Allowing you to kill faster. So YES! YOU WANT THEM!

Note: The build I gave you was just a mild rework of your own build (I'm at work and didn't have the spare time to give you a more farm-worthy build).

ahh, well if you'd be able to point me in the direction or throw together a farming build when you have the time i'd greatly appreciate it thanks. the tank is already lvl 50, working on my +s now. am at T2 alpha, just need the rare peice for T3.

My lvl 50 tank I use for all kinds of things and I do not use RoP, or Temp Prot in it. really do not need it. Plus why did u take TP if its for farming? and Hyper why so much KB prot, u have it slotted to 16. You do not need that much 10 to 12 is plenty for a tank. Most baddies do not do more then 10 KB points including HAMI. My fire/fire tank only has 12 KB prot and dose just fine. But if its for Farming i do not think u will need it at all.
