Breaking news AGAIN: "My computer is DEEEEADDDD!!!"

Actually it might be the graphics card. The repair guy thinks I am overclocking the graphics card, forcing it to crash.

Problem is, it was supposed to get repaired by today, but no phone. So the gaming machine is still not available for the moment. And a dearth of LAN cafes in my area is crimping mah style.

With luck, I should have the computer before this Saturday when we will hopefully have the Tanker Event on Defiant server.

It turns out I was overclocking the graphics card, so the settings were reset to default and the computer seemed to run okay for two days on high-end graphics stuff... the computer still seems to run a little too hot when I play CoH though... :worry:

I have to ask, how did you OC the graphics card and not know it? That's really odd.

Also, I recommend CoreTemp and GPU-Z for monitoring your temperatures. That said, newer graphics cards get a lot hotter than you think they would, so I wouldn't flip out too much about a little bit of "extra heat".

LOL! I overclock my CPU, not my graphics card. I used to overclock both when obtaining more fps in a game was necessary to perform certain "tricks". However, now I just overclock the CPU because I have to overclock something or I feel I'm not getting the most bang for the buck...
