Well, all of the Lore pets (except maybe Seers) do pretty great damage. Vicky just does insane damage. If the IDF pet fits the concept better, you won't find it wanting. But if you're purely about power then Vicky would do more damage, yes.

Warworks 160 st dps - Pure damage, hybrid melee/ranged
IDF 126 st dps - Stuns? hybrid melee/ranged
Clockwork 126 st dps - All ranged
Seers 74 st dps - Control, Ranged but one of them likes to pretend it's melee.
Thanks, team. There really was no concept to follow, but I figured what I wanted most was the level shift, so I might as well take the baddest pet in the group. The occasional stuns that the IDF commander might throw out with its melee attacks might stack with Dark Pit. At least I did not pick the worst damage pet of the group (I took that one on my Scrapper before I knew what I was doing).
Note to self: just accumulate components until I scrounge the boards and figure out exactly what I want to do with them.

I set them each on an AV while I immobilized the target and ran a stopwatch. If they have -regen, then I'm sure it helped their times and resulting dps numbers. How much, I can't answer.
I have had some interesting results with the lore pets I've picked for my toons.
My Emp has the T4 Seers. The damage output by the boss is pretty significant. I think I've seen it doing upwards of 400 damage a hit.
My controller (elec/kin) tried the warworks and the clockwork. As far as I can tell they seemed to be equally useful. The warworks ACU does seem to have a pretty nice AoE attack.
For the most part, I've chosen the pets that I felt would be the most helpful when I need the extra bodies/damage.

In trying to put together a pet for my wife's Kin/Dark/Mace Defender, I kinda had a thought to do something a little different and try the IDF Commander Boss pet for extra damage. Was this decision a really big mistake next to Vicky (in other words, is the gap that large between getting Vicky and any other boss pet), especially considering the defender will be able to play pocket kin for the pet?
