Tear it apart: SS/FA/Soul Build, Not for Farming

So while the servers were down I thought would make myself a second build for my ss/fa/mu farmer and this is what I came up with:
I would be running T3(until I maybe get t4) 45% end reduction/ Range increase and also the almighty Reactive dot 75% T3.
I will be going the barrier route for a panic button and when the non DDR softcap gets ripped to shreds by Romans.

What I wanted was the s/l softcap with good recharge but without the need for purple sets (I may consider them now my farmer is up and running but only if it is for a noticable increase) or the PVP +3% IO which I really don't want to cough up 3 billion for right now.

This build seems alright to me but feel free to make any changes to help me make it better.

One thing I'm wondering is how useful dark obliteration will be for damage with the -to hit buff set in but with all the damage bonuses flying about i reckon it will be fine with a nice -to hit bonus so I get hit less.

I like it a lot. shuffle a few powers around.. you don't need the extra slot in rage unless you like the extra crashes its still perma. took temp protect to free up another slot. not sure this build needs cardiac id go spiritual instead then you can drop a slot off hasten and it would only be down 7 seconds. throw a purple set in gloom and it would make up for the loss of vengeance recharge. took taunt because well, its nice to have and with this toon you will be able to tank.

Not worth the INF, in my opinion. Covering only S/L defense isn't enough. There are plenty of pure energy attacks that will tear you apart on incarnate trials. You also left your recharge a bit lower than what it takes to reach perma-Hasten.

Sorry but you are soooo totally wrong. SS/fire/soul at the s/l soft cap can tanks both of the trials, i do it all the time (see the sig). Hell, after you get the shifts you are almost unstoppable.

Also, perma hasten is overrated. Not anywhere near as important as perma rage (not stacking though) or something like dom.


Anyway, to the OP build looks good. You REALLY want cardiac though, even then you might have end problems.

I took the Ageless Destiny rather than barrier on my SS/Fire/Mu to cover the same Def debuff hole, and it works quite well for me. The +Rech and +End also help with a blue bar sucking monstrosity like SS/Fire and the losses in Recharge one makes in order to get good S/L/Melee defenses.
