As stated above CoF has the -to hit in DA. Also you are limited to debuffing individual targets due to the ST nature of DM, you can keep alternating between targets but the effect is still minimal in a large mob.

Whirling hands is good for stacking stuns on multiple targets on top of OG, not great damage but effective mitigation.

I made a DA/EM tank and it does work very well. It was a toss up between EM and WM; EM for concept and WM for effectiveness, in the end concept won out.

Now I'm just crossing my fingers for a buff to EM.

I hadn't considered Kinetics as I wasn't aware that it had any stuns.

A lot of it stuns. I believe Body Blow, Smashing Blow and Concentrated Strike all stun, and pretty well. The other attacks have knockdown (not counting Repulsing Torrent as I can't stand knockback on a tanker), which is another great source of mitigation. EM has no knockback, and it's far slower than KM. I mean it too; anyone who thinks KM is slow needs to try the following attack chain:

Power Siphon > Quick Strike > Smashing Blow > Body Blow > Quick Strike > Burst > Concentrated Strike.

It's incredibly fast until the end. Burst can be swapped for Focused Burst. The animations for SB, BB, and QS (in that order) will often execute so rapidly that QS will hit an enemy killed by BB. If SB and BB land their stuns, you WILL stun a boss.

I'm not a fan of Kinetic Melee at all, but its a personal preference thing.

I have to say .. DA/Ice is a interesting sounding combo. ST damage wouldn't be very impressive. Having played a FA/Ice Tanker up back in the day, it was pretty sad that I was better off useing my AoEs to kill a single target then useing any of my ST attacks.

But Controlish abilites would work together pretty well. Not to mention the combo has very solid AoE damage output between Death Shroud, Frozen Aura and Frost.

Soul would be my first pick for Epic/Patron due to Gloom giving you a very nice single target attack. Not to mention souls other bonuses.

DA/Ice/Soul... Mmmm... I feel a New Alt coming and I hate you all for it LOL.

Stone and dont look back.. seriously.. yes the end can be a challenge. but the reward is well worth it. The ability to continually stun bosses is huge..

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
