Stone Melee / Fire Armor Advice
I have an old fire/stone tank... it's a solid combo.
Fault is one of the best (if not the best) mitigation/soft control powers available to tanks & brutes. It will pair well with /fire, giving you a breather to fire off your heal, etc. Also, back in the day it was decent for keeping things in burn... now, not so much needed for that .
Also: Seismic Smash + FE = DROOL.
Throw the reactive dot proc on top of that and you've got lava fists that light people on fire!

Stone's weakness is the animation time for it's AoE. If you don't mind the 3 second time on that, then stone melee is beast. The sound and smash effect from stone is very enjoyable. SSmash is one of the funnest of brute powers, sound and animation from that is what makes stone, stone. Stone lacks in AoE dmg, but make's up for it in single target.
I appreciate the input. I'll plan on having fun!
Probably my favorite character I've ever had. I recommend frankenslotting for good acc/dam/end on all of your attacks, because your endurance will hurt a lot. Once I got enough IOs (Miracle, Numina's, Performance Shifter procs) then I was able to drop Consume and enjoy my Brute further with focus on recharge.
My second main is a Fire/Earth Tank (Volcano theme)
It does have endurance problems early - but later on you can mitigate it out (i use cardiac ? alpha slot that reduces endurance cost and adds a bit of resistence) Earth gives you single target damage and PBAOE soft control and Fire gives you PBAOE Damage (Fire Aura and Burn)
Fire isn't the most resistant set but neither it is squishy - I happily go toe to toe with most mobs. I haven't made a melee character that is as much fun yet

Consume both provides end drain protection as well as offering a solution for when you are already drained of end.
I have a new concept for a toon and stone melee / fire armor fits nicely for it.
So what Im looking for is some general thoughts on the pairing.
I have tried fire armor only once and I have a hard time with self click heals. Hoping maybe the knockdowns will help.
Should I continue with the idea?
Thanks
