Powerset Combos without an End Recovery power
Slot one end (or frankenslot, or look into sets) into attacks, especially early on, if you're worried about it (and most sets will take care of that anyway.)
Other than that, it's normally not a big deal. Just don't play a fire/storm Controller. Those suck END so fast it's almost amusing. Almost.
I'm with you there. I rarely play anything that doesn't have an end-boosting power, since I hate having to stop every few spawns to rest. This goes double for Brutes.
The Performance Shifter, Miracle, and Numina's procs all help too, as does, as Bill said, slotting one endredux per attack. A lot of ATs can also get a power for that from their epic/patron pools.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
I find myself playing chars that have some kind of end recovery power, and realized that I would like to maybe go a little farther out on the ice and not be tethered to that need.
I know that zillions of chars are played all the time without end taps like elec or things like regen or will power, but it seems kinda scary to me, like I will be sucking wind all the time. Obviously inherit stamina helps and there is slotting your abilities for end reduction, but is there any trick to living outside the safety net of heavy end regen powers? |

Take out mobs that drain endurance first.
Obviously, no travel powers or unessessary toggles on while in combat.
Do not auto Hasten.
Pace yourself.
AOE's generally take more end, so don't fire them off unless you are actually hitting more than 3 mobs.
I know some of these are quite obvious, but I will probably reference this post next time Ultimo_ complains of end issues.
That's a great list to have, SinisterDirge.
Current primary characters, all on Guardian:
The Amber Fist (Elec/Stone Tanker) | Pixelbeater (Fire/Kin Corr) | The Sequencer (Bots/Traps MM)

I really love me some Pain Tolerance on my Fire/Storm corruptor. Goes from having to balance endurance use (by staggering attacks and heavily relying on timed snipe use which isn't hard when you're knocking everything around or debuffing their ToHit) to just toggling whatever the heck I want. I like to run Beast Run along with my toggles and tossing out Rains all over when I get myself that buff ^_^
But all in all, I've always run characters that have no +end/recovery powers and have learned to balance them. It's the characters that *have* such tools that I play/slot differently. I usually save END redux slotting for last/never when I have something like Energy Drain to work with. And I seek out extra toggles to run for them too, just so they have *something* to burn the extra endurance with.
Oddly, my main- an Ice/Ice Blaster- hasn't had an end issue since level 35 or so. The only downtime I get with him is healing damage, not endurance. That was long before I slotted inherent stamina.
Nowadays the only time I have an issue is against enemies that have specifically endurance-draining abilities.
Ice/Ice Blaster. Dedication to concept is an ugly thing.
Claws/WP Brute. Sex without the angst.
Every CoX character lies somewhere on this spectrum.
