Action Camera Option?
Enable free camera movement in options --> Controls
Wow, I turned that feature off so many years ago I didn't even remember the game had a camera action feature.

The Free Camera is a great feature. It essentially unlocks your camera from your character model, causing you to do a /playerturn every time you hit the mouse look button. It's one of the best changes around, in my eyes.
And it wasn't even done for convenience. It was done to enable the click-to-move feature to work. I doubt anyone ever used that.

Is that set to Off by Default? I don't think I've ever seen it...

"My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely pretty and well preserved, but rather I will skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...WOW...What a Ride"
I know I never turned it off, so it must be.

Actually, it is - for flight sims. Not sure I've ever seen it anywhere else though.

An inverted mouse vertical is indeed normal for flight sims, because it controls pitch in the same way the stick does, but the stick also controls roll, not yaw as it does in your run-of-the-mill FPS. Yaw tends to be controlled via completely separate pedals. For flight sims, "stick-like mouse look" may be somewhat appropriate, but first-person and third-person games really don't qualify, since I've yet to see one that gives you the ability to roll which isn't some kind of flying craft equivalent.
Then again, the game defaults to giving you keyboard rotate buttons, so I'm probably barking up the wrong tree entirely.

As far as the inverted Y axis: I'm not sure, but I think it's just "natural" for some people, in exactly the same way that it's totally unnatural for you. I know that I *need* the camera inverted to play a game. I've tried playing games that don't have the option to invert it. I spend the first ten minutes of *every* play session fighting with the camera. After that, I "sort of" get used to it, but if I stop playing for any length of time (even just to make a sandwich) I'll be right back to fighting with the camera when I start again. As a result, I usually don't play games that don't allow y-axis flipping for the camera.
*Edit*
(And by flipping, I mean that pushing the mouse forward/away from me causes the camera to tilt down. In most games, mouse forward = camera up, thus I tend to think of the way I prefer it as "inverted," even if it is one of the few games where that is the default behavior.)
As far as the Free Camera option, that good to know. I'd seen the option, but didn't have any idea what it did. I might experiment with it later.
Hey guys, is there currently a way to turn off the action camera, and if not, can there be? And by action camera (not sure what the correct term is) I mean that function that twists the camera around to focus on your target.
Many times in the game I find myself trying to pay attention to more than two things at once, so I center my camera in a position that allows me to do so, but once I launch an attack, the thing does a complete 360. I'm sure it may not bother some players, but it'd still be nice to have the option.
Any thoughts?
