Elec/Energy Tank build help (S/L Def softcapped , perma-hasten)
Hmm, personally, I'd rather have all my attacks adequately slotted than some poorly slotted and some slotted out with procs. As it is, the attacks 4-slotted with Kinetic Combat and nothing else are underslotted for accuracy and damage.
Also, Aegis is not a great choice for this purpose, since F/C should be a very low priority for you. I'd go with Reactive Armor sets in all the resistance toggles instead.
Here's your build, reslotted so it doesn't need the Glad Armor +def, which will save you 2 billion or more right off the bat. F/C def is lower, E/NE def a little higher, which is the way to go, IMO since energy damage is far more common than F/C. Personally, I'd put another 3 Eradication plus another couple of set IOs in WH for more E/NE def, but you'd lose perma-hasten that way. Oh, and you definitely want to take Grounded long before 30 unless you like being a pinball.

Thanks for the build option. The reason for some of the attacks being under-slotted was because I don't plan to use them all in my attack chain. Barrage and Total focus act more as anchors for kinetic combat than anything else.
The reason why I went with more F/C defense was because of my lack in F/C resistance. I thought it would provide a good all around build. Since my resistance for energy is capped, I am not worried too much about putting more defense into it.
I love what you did with build-up, I am surprised I missed rectified recticle's S/L defense. Big oversight.
I took your build and made some minor tweaks, I took out a slot in Barrage and Total Focus to give damage procs to Energy Punch and Bone Smasher (since they are my main's in my EP - BS - EP - ET attack chain). I took a slot out of Weave (Defense ED'd, unless you were just doing that for the 9% acc) to put the +end proc back into Power Surge (I figured if I crashed in a mob, I could avoid a complete endurance crash - which saves me from re-toggling)
Something to keep in mind, Barrage comes with a -20% Res debuff now that hits 100% of the time but doesn't stack. Tagging a boss with that before hitting ET makes a noticeable difference in damage.
I did not know that, but that is awesome to note. I'm a little confused as to what the damage output for Energy Transfer is. I look it up in CoH and it says it's about 370 or so, but is that including the special damage that goes against you? How much damage is the enemy taking exactly?

As for Energy Transfer, the damage to self scales with level, but it's always 167 HP at level 50. Enhancements and damage buffs do not affect it. (thank goodness!)
At level 50, ET's damage to the target is 203 HP, about 2/3 of which is Energy damage, and the other 1/3 Smashing. That is before enhancements and buffs, which of course do affect the total damage to the target. PvP damage is slightly higher, FWIW.

I haven't seen many builds of this type of tank. I was intrigued by the damage of Energy Transfer, and the heavy resistance of Electricity. The increased recharge and self heal seems to synergize well with Energy Transfer. I am picturing an attack scheme of Energy Punch - Bone Smasher - Energy Punch - Energy Transfer.
Anyways, long story short, this build is softcapped in S/L. Is perma hasten. And seems like a good build overall, but I believe anything can be improved. This build is on the expensive side, it's not too much of a problem for me, but if we can shed some price for equal to better performance, then why not?
