Salvage assignment
/Unsigned. Salvage is way to easy to obtain. It really isn't that hard to go through your recipies and see how much of a certain piece you need either.
It's an interesting idea but to be honest it sounds like a feature that would require a lot of coding work by the dev team for very little benefit to players.
the recipes actually have a link to the salvage needed to make that recipe..thats what i use all the time..does me just fine.
the point is to partition off salvage that you already plan to use for a particular recipe in your own salvage, which i would really like. i usually end up getting the salvage to do a bunch of crafting at once due to owning a crafting table on a 5 minute timer. however, its not a trivial task to keep track of all of the salvage i need for all of the recipes, especially through multiple sets that have copies of the same salvage. knowing that the math proof i have is already planned to be used with recipe A would be nice if recipe B also needed it but i only have 1 math proof.
its just a QoL improvement, but probably too much to ask for. not everyone just buys the salvage they need on the spot. some of us would rather save the salvage they need, like rares, and not buy them off of the market when the time comes.

The only thing I would want is a "flag" that I could place on a recipe that would essentially disallow me from selling any salvage required for that recipe, at least until I unflagged that recipe.
Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

hm...I usually buy all the recipes I want, then all the salvage and then go make all the enhancements. Using the feature which lists all the salvage for a recipe allows this to work very smoothly. I don't seem to see what problem you are trying to solve.
If I'm selling I either do it before or after I craft, but not during any of the other tasks. Maybe you should streamline your process?

And I like this suggestion.
Check out the Repeat Offenders network of SGs! You'll be glad you did.
Simple idea - I was crafting an Absolute Amazement set for my dom the other night, which has a lot of recipes which share common components, and it occurred to me that if I could 'tie' a piece of salvage to a recipe, the problem of not having enough or too much would be eliminated.
It'd be easy: once the salvage is bought, right-click on it, and there would be a drop-down menu for recipes you have which use that salvage. You select one, maybe there's an 'are you sure?' prompt, then that piece of salvage appears as a different colour in all other recipes, orange for example, to show that, yes, I have the salvage, but it's associated with another recipe, so I need to get another one.
Thoughts?
