Chat Window Minimum Width

Please return the minimum chat window width to it's pre-i19 value. It was an unnecessary change that is now forcing me (and presumably many others) to completely rearrange screen layouts that I've been working with for years. Anyone who WANTS the chat window that wide can drag the frame edge.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

Absolutely Signed.

I am so hating the new chat Window.

Have to drag and drop evrything in Tabs and minimizing the Window or else i couldnt play cause its close to overlapping on my char... (Screen resolution 1024x768)...

Hope the fix it soon changing it on evry toon get annoying and time consuming.

Greetings

Bugged it before coming here. Looked on the forums before posting. Didn't see any existing threads on it at the time. Even now, doing a search for "chat window" turns up only my thread, for me.

As they had to add the League and LFG tabs in there, likely this isn't going to happen.

Have you tried reducing the size of your UI in preferences? Or raised your resolution?

Apparently, the subtle science of horizontal scrolling eludes them.

Had previously reduced my ui scale. Related question: can the font size be changed independently? If so, I may try adjusting the scale of the individual window, then increase the chat font size to compensate for reduced readability. Also, screen resolution is set to the desktop default, 1680x1050. Using any other setting results in distortion.

There is a setting for Chat Font size - I had mine set to 12 point and UI scalling to about 70% which seemed to work well and still does at higher resolutions although it is still to wide at 1280x768 even at minimum scaling as I found when I tried running CoX on my nettop.

Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant

Yes, on the general (first) tab of options, somewhat lower down on the list.

Also, you can scale the UI size of all the windows independently, so you could scale your chat windows down, boost chat font size, and not have all the other issues that come with UI scaling (like the global list's scrollbar becoming totally broken).

Maybe yes, maybe no. Remember, the menu items that control the various tabs are static in the UI. Reworking them to become scrolling control items might be a bit of a stretch, and bring it's own sort of cumbersome with it.

Not to my knowledge.
