I also have this issue. Did a verify from the COH launcher and no help.
I am currently looking for a verify or equivalent on the NCsoft launcher.
i ran the repair option....and still getting same error msg
From what I understand, this happens for users who are running windows xp service pack 2 or older.
As of Issue 20, CoH requires Xp service pack 3 or a newer version of windows, for the specific windows function stated in that error.

Yes. The devs did indeed heartlessly kick it's windows XP players out the door, assuming the players have a specific reason they won't get SP3(like me). Or drop money for a shiny new windows7 pc.
I cannot play thanks to issue 20. Anyone asking about this kernell error also won't be able to, unless you can easily upgrade to ServicePack3

My laptop running XP SP2 is a dualcore from '05 haha. it's the laptop's GFX card holding back my game, not the core usage.
Hm, if that's it's purpose, they could at least hide it in the options of the NCSoft Launcher to disable. I'd happily run my 1core than 0
