How are people AFKing the game for hours?

You will not get auto kicked if you're on a TF for AFK. Also, you cannot be auto kicked while on a mission map or inside a SG base (technically the same thing).

I do believe it is against the ULA to post derogatory things about people using their in game names or global names. I could be wrong, but I recall that being mentioned at one time.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
Just FYI, the no-logout feature is there as a quality of life thing for peope who for whatever reason are soloing or having to take frequent AFKs. For example, a longtime acquaintance of mine in-game used to often play only with friends or solo because she has a newborn child at home and would often have to vanish for extended periods of time with little or no warning.
The no-logout feature means that when she got back, she was still standing there in the mission where she left off (unless she got killed by an ambush, but there you go).
It's very frustrating when the leader of a TF does this - I had a similar problem on a Citadel a few months back and it is indeed incredibly frustrating when someone has so little courtesy for other players. The only thing to do is 1-star the person and never team with them again. The system is a good thing, it's abuse of that system that deserves your ire.

You can run Manti twice in 2 hours (at the very least). I know I wouldn't have waited around nearly that long for an afk leader.
What server was this on? If it's on Virtue I could help you run a quick Manti tonight. (Evening Pacific time).

If this was Renault on Freedom, I might have been on that team becasue the exact same thing happened to me. You really waited 2 hours? That's hardcore. I gave it 20 minutes or so and gave up.
If it came to that and this were last mission, I'd have petitioned to get a GM then asked the GM to disconnect the leader.
