Trying to decide on a Stalker. Looking for some advice

So I'm going to make my 2nd stalker to run with a few friends that enjoy PvP'ing. I'm having trouble deciding on what type to make. I've all but decided on /WP, although I'm open to opinions on that. Basically I'm trying to decide between Energy and Dark. But again, since I'm a noob I'm open to change that as well. Ninja Blade appealed to me, but the draw time in pvp scares me. Perhaps it shouldn't but it seems like it could be an issue.

If you honestly plan on PvPing then your primary wont matter all that much as most of your time will be spent throwing sharks. But out of the two you are most interested in I would have to give the nod to Energy Melee because of the cast time on ET. Have you considered Kinetic Melee though? The damage scales wierdly, in your benefit, in PvP and is good choice.

Basically for a PvP stalker just make sure to throw sharks, hibernate, and phase shift mostly because those will be your bread and butter abilities.

You know...I went to RV a while ago and Tanker's Hurl was hurting me so much (I am Fortunata). They changed the damage formula so attacks that have very long activation time (like Hurl and Shark) can do a lot more damage in pvp.

Using that logic, a critical Shark probably does a lot of range damage which is strange.. it's almost like melee toons all of sudden are doing comparable "range" damage. What's next? Squishies taking melee attacks?


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Dark has 2 things going for it.
Animation bug with AS allowing to move freely after interrupt time which isnt 100% and that midnight grasp has frontloaded damage,not much rooting and is easy to jump cancel.

Energy doesnt have any real benefits but it isnt bad.

You would probably better off going elec(thunderstrike) or spines(impale).

Broadsword and Ninja Blade are the only real ****** primaries since the AS has such a slow activation time.
