Personally, I applaud your efforts to share what you know about PvP with those that may not be educated in that arena, pun intended.
But, I think you should be aware that your scheduled time conflicts with our MSR.
I think you'll have better results in another time slot.
Still, I guess this would show how bad someone on Liberty wants to learn the mechanics of PvP.

I again wish to extend the offer to anyone from Liberty who may wishes to try PvP in a low key, education over competitiveness format.

I'm interested in this, but I don't have any level 50s or any toons on victory server. I'm also a zone/arena pvper. With my current schedule, I don't have the time to take part, however I'm free on Wednesdays.
Just a suggestion, this could also be done on the Test server. Saves time PLing, inf, and could generate more people from all servers to interact.

Actually, all the entrants will be rolling brand new characters on Victory, so no level 50s required! We'll be leveling up together between lessons. And, the benefit of doing this on a live server is having a totally PvP viable character ready to bring out to matches or leagues (I.E. continue using) after boot camp.

Actually Avatea also suggested this to me when we talked about this event, the biggest issue with test (and always has been) is that it goes down for closed Beta, there are more frequent updates and the current server would not support the number of players we are hoping to get for this event.
The other big draw back to running it on test is that people would only be able to bring 50's they currently have and while it is true you can PvP on pretty much anything with the right IO's and skill, what we are trying to teach is Team-Based pvp so the AT/Powerset choices are not as flexible as for zone or duels. So a lot of people still would need accelerated experience obtainment to get a 50 of a viable team build for this event (especially since this event is geared towards players new to pvp).
I do appreciate you interest, support and ideas for this event, all of them are very welcomed.

Hello Liberty,
PvP University is hosting a Boot Camp on the Victory Server. This event is geared towards players who would like to try team based PvP and those who would like to learn the basics of PvP mechanics.
While there are many barriers to players venturing into PvP: expense of IOing a PvP character; learning a whole new set of game mechanics (powers that work one way in PvE work totally different in PvP); and just the basic knowledge of what works and what doesn't. This event tries to remove these barriers by teaching players the basic skill of PvP while not requiring too much of an investment (time and influence) to do so.
The only requirements to joining this event are: you must be a player new to PvP (some player with zone experience but little to no team/arena experience may qualify to join); you must have a free character slot on the Victory Server; you must be free Fridays at 9pm est; and you must be willing to download Ventrilo (while it would be best for you to be able to both talk and listen to instructions, the ability to at least listen to lessons and your team is vital for team based PvP).
The ultimate goal of PvP University would be to run these Boot Camps on each server, however at this time we really only have the man power to run it on one server.
