Trying to get a softcapped and rescapped stone/ss.
Long forum export takes up a lot of space. Most people use Mids' to look at the builds anyways. The link and data chunk are the only important parts of the export. I could be wrong and there could be people trying to look at the wordy builds and add set bonuses and invention enhancement values manually.
I went with Dark Melee because the healing is the only thing that reliably increases survivability when tanking AVs. I planned on teaming only, and never soloing, too. Here is what I came up with, which is somewhat similar to your approach. I hope it helps you improve your build, because there isn't anything specific that I could suggest for you to change.

Just looked at the build.
If you think Stone tanks take forever to kill anything, just try killing things with attacks so sparsely slotted. Not sure you could even over come a Minion's regen with that amount of damage.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
Been thinking about doing a Stone/Stone/Earth for a while, and finally decided to roll her up and started thinking about her final build. I'm planning on dual building for in and out of granite, and tried to see what my max survivability build would be inside of Granite. This is my current best effort:

It gets there without needing to run Maneuvers, which allowed me to squeeze in both Aid Self and Hasten, which means I can cut the downtime on Earth's Embrace significantly: my calculations say its average downtime while Hasten goes up and down will be about 20 seconds.
It also has a psionic failsafe in being able to drop out of granite and toggle on minerals, although that would only make sense in an ultra-heavy psionic situation: I would be soft-capped to psionics, but I would only have 40.5% defense to smash/lethal: one small purple would soft-cap me to s/l/e/n, but then again two would take care of psionics within granite also (usually: with minerals up the build has 55.9% defense to psionics, which has *huge* margin for error on debuffs). Still, its an interesting if not exceptionally useful option. I also think it doesn't give up much in the way of offense like GodofGod's build, although technically speaking his build would be much more resistant to defense debuffs than Syntax42 or mine due to the much higher defenses on s/l/f/c (but not energy/negative).
It lacks Siphon Life, but I think it might theoretically give Syntax42's build a run for the money given the faster cycling EE and Aid Self. Also, if I swap Cardiac Core with Spiritual Core I still remain res capped to everything except Energy/Negative which drop to 83%, and EE then only falls short of perma by about one second on average. Another interesting option to keep around, after acquiring enough incarnate components.
If anyone can squeeze more performance out of this build, I'd sure like to hear about it before I reach 50 (which will be a while, since I just rolled the tanker that will eventually level into this build). I'm also contemplating the non-granite exemplar build and leveling builds, but this is intended to be basically granite only. If I actually build this build, and I have every intention of doing so eventually, it will be by far and away the most indestructible character I've ever played, ever.

I went for regeneration on a granite build. I only tried to get enough recharge to cancel the -recharge of granite. I didn't worry about getting debuff room on the soft cap.
It's intended to be used in and out of granite, but tough isn't slotted because I can't afford to leave it running. It is such an endurance heavy build.
http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...3EFF010A12ED0E
I've got this build on my Stone/Fire scranker. Softcapped S/L/E/N/Psi out of Granite (where I spend as much time as possible) and Softcapped S/L/F/C/E/N defence in Granite with capped S/L/F/C resist and E/N resist at 84%ish. It's got some +recharge, but not a huge amount as it wasn't one of my aims, since I'm not often in Granite. It's also swimming in endurance, as I got tired of never having any on him
There is one hideously expensive thing in the build, but I'd been saving Hero Merits for just such an occasion and it was 30 merits well spent, IMO.
I was tanking on Tin Mage tonight with him and only needed Granite at the end of the third mission, against Neuron, his clones and both Goliath Warwalkers (at the same time). I did plant against Bobcat, but that's because she got a couple of solid hits in when I was back in my normal armours. As soon as I had been rezzed and got back in Granite, she was no trouble.
I don't know how much of that survivability was down to the build, but I suspect that a decent amount was down to some good teammates.
Not necessarily what you're looking for, since I use Granite as a 'panic button', but it may give you some ideas.
And besides, any build that can survive aggro capped Carnies indefinitely makes me grin while I'm playing it (Disclaimer: 'indefinitely' in that context means I can stomp round a map full of carnies solo, aggroing multiple spawns of Carnies onto myself and stand there burning them down as they run at me to replace their friends that just got crisped with no endurance trouble and no health bar trouble)

And here's a tweak of Erda's build into Earth/Super Strength that ignores costs. It goes past the soft cap, hits the resist cap on everything but Psi, and does alright for defense without granite.

Hello, all.
I came back to CoX community after a long break from the game (~2 years+).
Then I realized I have deleted all my tankers. Hence I decided to go build one instead of whining.
I am thinking to make a Stone Armor/Super Strength tanker with an attempt to softcap its defense along with capping all resistance except for psionic. But I would love to get as much psionic defense and resistance as possible, even if it costs a little gimping.
I will be aiming for tier 4 cardiac, and this is what I ended up with after playing around on Mids` builder for a bit.
I would love to make some tweaks, but I do not have any idea how to make it better at the moment.
This build is 2.3% off from energy/negative energy resistance cap with all other wants of mine accomplished.
Thank you all, in advance!
P.S: And thanks to Syntax42 for giving me an idea on building a stoner with defense softcap + rescap.
