Looking for help with a bind
Then you're looking for /bind w "forward$$sync" I think.
The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*
Close, but not quite. You forgot the "+".
("forward" by itself will only tell you if you are moving forward (0 or 1). It wont actually move you.)
Here is the bind:
/bind W "+forward$$sync"
And as a bonus.. not only will that sync every time you start to move forward, but it'll sync you again once you stop too.

Sounds right.
OP - have you ever contacted support about this? And had them ask for network trace info?

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
I think I have a variant of that going myself. I may try the bind.
With my main many many things are out of rang. Even at point blank. Standing toe to toe with mob x. I hit char. Get the out of range beep, then char fires. I get it often with flash fire too.
Come to think of it, my electric stalker gets it a lot as well.
Edit: Will all that syncing cause problems?
Turns out the answer to this question is "yes"
Moving around with /sync bound to forward movement makes my character more jittery than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Had to settle for binding it to another key instead.
I have not. Not sure it would help really. Its an odd bug it only affects this one character on my account.. Just happened to be the one I play the most :/
So, I'm apparantly one of the few lucky ones still living with the "sync bug" on my main character.
For those that are unfamiliar with it, every single time that character logs in or zones it takes about 10 seconds to sync up. So I'll start to move across the zone, 10 seconds later, poof, I'm back at the spot I zoned in. This happens Every. Single. Time I zone.
The /sync command fixes this.
However typing /sync or clicking on a macro has become too invasive. The alternative (waiting 10 seconds) is equally annoying.
What I would like is a non invasive fix to this problem.
If I could bind the /sync command to my forward moving key (or any movement key really) this would be awesome.
If this is possible, any help would be greatly appreciated.
