Ncsoft launcher problems plz help

Look in your Cty of Heroes folder, wherever you installed the game. There should be a file called old.cohupdater.exe (you may not see the .exe part if you didn't uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types").
Now drag it to the desktop while holding down the RIGHT mouse button, NOT the left. When you release you should see a list of options, choose "Create Shortcuts Here". Now you should have a short cut to the old updater.

I downloaded the new PlayNC Launcher, when I hit "Play Now", COH loads for
about 2 seconds, then... nothing, it just stops... =(
I checked to make sure the Firewall isn't blocking it, and added PlayNC
Launcher to my exceptions list, same thing, COH still doesn't work.
I have a Windows XP operating system; the Support Page suggested getting an
update to Windows XP from Microsoft, but when I go to he Microsoft site, I'm not
sure which patch is supposed to apply, if any actually do or not...?
Please help.
This happened to me. I found that I was having a problem with an old version of the launcher causing trouble with the new version. I had uninstalled the old one months ago, but parts of it were still on my system. I uninstalled the new version, searched my system and removed the remaining parts of the old one and downloaded a new copy of the launcher. I installed it without any more trouble.

still dint work and also when i install it or try to it just gets to 3 bars then stops then the problems show up again
oh 1 more thing when i delete it it says NCsoft launcher Error with the message (Object reference not set to an instance of an object.)

Well, thankfully I found a solution on Facebook -- I tried what another player with the same problem did, and I uninstalled the Play NC Launcher, then reinstalled it, and now COH is working, must've been some error in the 1st install.
So, Thanks, Facebook friends! Also, Thanks to the COH staff that set up/maintains the Facebook page!

Ok so i saw the ncsoft launcher on the coh updater and so i decided to download it then my coh updater was screwed and the launcher was to(i clicked them but it loaded for a half a second then nothing
. Then i reinstall the updater then it said unable to connect to launcher update server then i clicked skip and it said NCsoft launcher Error with the message (Object reference not set to an instance of an object.) 
I use windows xp
and i need help plz
