Laptop help

Father Xmas

Hi,

My husband bought me a new laptop today. I'm not very tech savvy, and I have not installed Coh yet, but I was wondering if it should be able to handle ultra mode, as my old laptop could hardly play at minimal settings

specs are

Intel i7 Q740 1.73 ghz (2.5ghz in turbo)
6gb ram
Graphics Chipset ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 1025 mb

Any help you can give would be appreciated,

Thanks

Yes but probably not on the higher UM settings. The laptop HD 5870 is only as powerful as the desktop HD 5770.

Thanks! everyone was spot on. I got CoH loaded and it's running at recommended settings at 60 fps with fsaa at x4, it's much better than my old laptop 10 fps at performance settings.

Thanks I think I'm going to like it, with further testing and in other zones, fps was anywhere from 35-60 depending on people zone powers used etc, on a ITF it was around 35 fps while in a fight. Idle talking to people in AP 55-60 fps. I'm going to try setting the advance settings later, and see how it goes, since I think the recommended setting is pretty low.

The Laptop is a ASUS G73JH, and is supposedly a gaming laptop.
