Infinity Hami Raids
I haven't seen one in months.
And I'm:
1) Online a lot.
2) Attentive.
I'd like to try one some day. I have not done one in the 'new format'. I did the old Hami plenty, including lead taunt.

Last one I remember on Infinity was Nov or Oct, i think Hopper ran it. She started trying to do them after the Sunday Mother ship raid, but has recently switched to doing the CoP instead.

Peps on some of the other servers are talking about walking way with 70 to 80 shards in one raid, so I want in on that action.
I was part of the VERY first successful raid on hami, and enjoyed being part of many raids, even had the chance to be part of one of the new style raids before i18 but not since and would love to get in on a few more soon.

On Liberty, we have been going through the mitos twice, and just ignoring them on the third bloom. This would, of course, reduce the number of shards.
On our last raid, we ignored the last two blooms.
Even so, through both of these raids, three sets of mitos and 2 hamis, I didn't get any shards, except for the 4 that are given at the end. (had to petition for those on occasion as well)
I'm not sure if it's a misunderstanding or what, but the number of shards this person told you is more than the number of mitos. Perhaps they are including monsters that they have to take down to spawn Hamidon? Even so, I am left wondering about the accuracy of 70 to 80 shards.

There are definitely shards to be had by fighting Hami, not to mention the fun of having the community together for a massive Jell-o fight.
I had been asking around, gauging interest in the revival of Hami raids on Infinity not too long ago. My schedule has been hectic lately, but I'm still really interested in the idea of participating, promoting, or organizing some raids.
So, does this mean there is, in fact, interest?

When a shard-dropping mob is defeated, it does a drop check on everyone on the team. Supposedly, its possible for one defeated mob to give everyone on the team a shard. However, if a person is awarded a shard, but isnt capable of equipping shards (ie, hasnt unlocked the alpha slot) then that awarded shard is passed to a randomly determined shard-capable player on the team. Some people are swearing that they are receiving multiple shards from the same defeated mob.
Not sure if I believe that, but its just as believable as a single player getting 70 to 80 shards during a single Hami Raid. By comparison, I usually get 4-6 shards on a Mother Ship Raid. I dont know why the numbers for a Hami Raid would be any different .

1) A lot of people have gotten multiple drops off a single defeated enemy.
2) Some of them have posted screenshots of the rewards text.
3) I've had it happen to me.

I've also had multiple shards drop off of one enemy. It's exceptionally rare, but I've heard of people getting three on one defeat. I'm trying to track down info to substantiate the claim of Mitos dropping shards at a higher rate than average, but there's that possibility too.
And of course there's always a hefty sum of merits for what can be 30 minutes or so of work if you prefer them.
Anyone know if Infinity is running Hami raids anymore and if so when are they run generally speaking?
For a while there raids were being run after the mothership raid on Sundays, but that does not seem to be the case anymore.
Ive been hearing that Hami will drop tons of shards.
