For the love of IO's

After seeing a recent thread asking about the usefulness of Karma KB protection it got me to thinking.

What are the IO's that you personally can't stand going without on your Blasters?

What are some IO's you've always wished you could get?

Overall goals are usually more helpful for me with Blasters (enough defense, a heal, etc.), but there are some IOs that are needed.

KB IOs, as you mentioned, are quite useful. I'm also finding that the Kismet +Accuracy IO is more useful, as a Blaster really does not want to miss, so it's helpful to have that with the new TFs and encounters against +3-4s.

The main other IOs that are useful are procs. Depending on the attack and the Blaster, an Achilles -res can help a lot, or just straight up damage. And especially in your tier 1 and 2 attacks, since you use them so much and can use them when mezzed.

A Numina's or Miracle in Health are usually good as well, depending on the needs of the Blaster. Not as needed as of the other IOs mentioned, though.

All of my blasters have a Zephyr -KB slotted into my travel power at level 7, a Miracle + slotted by level 20, a Numina +/+ slotted by 25. I usually try to fit in a Winter's Gift unique, a Kismet +acc, and a Rectified Reticle + perception. My blappers usually get 2 more -KB IOs by the time they are level 25ish.

I'd love to have Mag 4 status protection IOs, I'd slot a -stun and a -hold one of those, might skimp on the sleep one though.

Any of the stealth IOs

IMNSHO if you are going to solo a blaster you have to be able to control when the battle starts. Stealth is an absolute must to accomplish this.

-KB is also a must, which one is all a matter of build goals.

After that its variable, but, an IO I love that seems very underappreciated is the force feedback chance for recharge.

The only IOs I consider "must haves" on a Blaster are a -KB IO and as many sets of Thunderstrike as I can slot. Recovery uniques can be handy on Blasters that run several toggles, but are generally overkill if you are just using Hover and a Leadership toggle or two. I also always slot a Kismet 6% to-hit IO at lower levels but some builds have so much accuracy when finished that I respec out of it (on most I keep it though).

Stealth IOs are great for superspeedsters or Stealth users, but otherwise I usually don't bother with them. You can slot Sprint with one for partial stealth, but you can also slot Sprint with a level 50 runspeed IO to use with Ninja Run on a no-travel-power build so I don't always use the stealth.

Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

Hmmm good stuff here. I ll have to look into Achilles procts, never tried them. Only other procts all my blisters have I think are the performance shifted +end into stamina and steadfast +def into tough.
