I'm am so glad I changed servers to Union. If I would have been on Defiant when you did this...I would probably be banned permanently now.

Well done. Your apology, if not quite unreserved, will, I am sure, be accepted by most players on Defiant, myself included.
I understood your intentions, but didn't agree with them or your actions.
I'm glad Defiant Events is back to normal and everything is as it used to be.
And as Phil said, I'm sure most players on Defiant accepts your apology, as I have.

Dear all, as you may or may not be aware, over the last few days the Defiant community has fractured and split, damaged by panic and anger. In the interest of keeping the community together, I have restored all the operators back to their positions before I demoted them, and I have removed my own operator status to avoid any more angst in channel against me having this position. I apologise for any casualties on either side. Defiant Events 2 and other spin-offs of this channel will no longer be necessary as there is a strong community here on Defiant Events.
I acted in what I believed to be in the best interest for Defiant Events (a fresh start) as elected operator from 2 years ago, and continued to do so by restoring the channel to the way it used to be, and have no regrets about those actions. However, in the days of unrest, it became clear to me that it was no longer a matter of who was right and who was wrong, and what was more important was keeping the community together. Of course, having restored things to the management that Defiant Events used to be under and myself being no longer being an operator, I cannot promise that anything will be perfect from now on - that is the business of the reinstated Defiant Events operators. Therefore, if anyone is unhappy with the previous management of Defiant Events (which I have restored), please notify me and we will talk about possibly setting up a new channel. I implore you not to press the issue further in the Defiant Events channel.
