Such a thing as Anti-altitis?

For sure, My shield/ss/pyre tank has MUCH better survivability and does more aoe damage and farms way better. But there's just something about the Ill/Rad that makes me smile. I can solo GMs/AVs, I can do any task force pretty easily, I contribute to any team situation very well. I'm currently set at 218.75% global recharge bonus before spiritual boost or the enhancements in the powers themselves so I can have all kinds of silly fun like Mutation recharging what seems like about every 30-40 seconds or so, then even better, my Rise of the Phoenix is a fast recharge. I can actually play recklessly when teamed with my close friend (not on pugs. that'd get me kicked) and act as self rezzing vengeance bait (with a nice lil nuke to boot when I rez). Mind you thats only when my friends want to just cut loose and play silly. But I love that about my main, I can do all those silly things. Thats what happens when I roll an alt. I start lvling it and realize that I'd rather just play that fun and finished character instead.

The first time a character really clicked with me was with my Plant/Kin, but rather than making me only want to play him forever, he made me want to play only control sets forever instead. So once I'm done... I'll have a bunch of awesome Controllers and Dominators to fall back on, which are by far my favorite ATs now (though they took me 2 years to finally find. :|)

Still, there's a few select 50s of mine that I'll still go back and play regularly. But finding how much I love both my Plant/Kin and my Dom have made even more of my 50s rather inactive. I guess you could say I went from having altitis to having a very less severe case of altitis... maybe?

While I have over 20 characters on my main server, and at least a few on all the others, I'm pretty much down to two mains. That may change later as I level up some of the others, but for now my two mains are a Ill/Rad controller and a Stone/WP brute. They play completely different, but I love playing both of them. They both have their 3rd tier Alpha (working on 4th tier), and I can't decide which I like more so play them both about equally.

My first 50 was a Bots/FF MM. 2nd a SS/Inv tanker, then a SS/WP tanker, and I forget after that. But for some reason these two have clicked for me, and I think I'm enjoying CoH as much now as I ever have.

Oh, I'm still leveling up several others as well, a Fire/Rad controller, an Earth/Fire Dominator, and a BS/SD brute among others, but before long I'm back with my mains, running another TF or MS raid or something. Good times.

I love playing my 50's, and I only have a few characters I play regularly(all IO'd out 50's). If I create a character it is because I plan on getting it to 50, get the accolades, and get him all IO'd up.

I used to have Altitis, but I guess I got over it and then some.
That.
