Keybinds and alignment codes

I use the common bind when chatting in my SG channel of:
/beginchat /send "channel" [$name, $archetype]

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an "alignment" code that I could also enter (I've tried $alignment) that would identify Hero, Vig., Rogue, Villain.

I am fairly certain that there is not.

I'm also fairly certain people have been suggesting an $alignment chat variable at least since the beginning of Issue 18.

Loth 50 Fire/Rad Controller [1392 Badges] [300 non-AE Souvenirs]
Ryver 50 Ele Blaster [1392 Badges]
Silandra 50 Peacebringer [1138 Badges] [No Redside Badges]
--{=====> Virtue ♀

I've been suggesting a $server variable for years!

it looks to me like the only thing we are gunna have ingame to specify our alignment (aside from just plain typing it out) is the anniv alignment emotes we'll get here in a couple weeks.

that boggles my mind, slightly.

Found it. I've misplaced the thread that had it noted but "$side" will add the tag of your alignment into the chat bar. It only recognizes the 2 sides though so Hero, Vigilante, and Resistance all show "Hero" while Villain, Rogue, and Loyalist will display "Villain."

This brings up a good point. When you're a vigilante you may not be running vigilante tips (could be hero tips, vigilante tips, or villian tips). So technically what you're asking for may not really be what you really wanted to broadcast anyway.

Interesting trick though with $side. Are you sure as a vigialante it's hero, and not related to which side you're actually in at the moment, which could be the red side? That would make more sense to me.

I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
