Travel power problem
I have the same issue, and just deal with it. A fix WOULD be good.
Almost certainly a limitation of your keyboard, believe it or not.
Correct. Because of how most keyboards are wired, they can't tell if certain keys are being pressed at the same time, so it just registers one of them. Which keys varies from one model and manufacturer to the next.
Gaming devices, like ZBoards and such, are usually designed to ensure that they can track as many simultaneous keypresses as possible.
If you still have the old keyboard, try switching back to it to solve your problem.
@Roderick
I appreciate the replies. I considered just using my old keyboard, but its connection is round and the new computer has a rectangular port.
I'm also not familiar with ZBoards but I'l certainlyl look into them.
Thanks all.
If you haven't changed the normal keybinds, Q and E are also for turning left/right, respectively. I mostly use WASD/QEX+Space for my fliers, first four being directional while the others are turning left/right and moving down/up. That combination have worked for me on all systems I've tried it on so far.

i'd suggest asking at any small or independent electronics or computer sales/repair shops in your area for an adapter. There's a good chance they'll have some around that they'll either give to you or sell for a couple dollars.
If you can't find a PS2 to USB keyboard adapter locally i might be able to dig one up and mail it to you. (It's been a while, but i'm pretty sure i had some from a while back.)
Good luck.
Edit: Or you could just use a slightly different control setup...
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

You dont necessarily need a gaming keyboard, if you have a Fry's or someplace close by you can go in and try out brands, not all have the problem.
My keyboard does this. I play on a laptop, so I can't swap out the keyboard. My solution... I just don't jump turn right and move forward at the same time.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
Hello all,
I'm having a problem that I've never experienced in my 2 years of playing. Since getting a new computer and installing CoX on it, I've noticed that directional control for my flying and super-jumping characters has become limited.
Specifically, they can't turn left while ascending. If I'm hitting the space bar and press the right directional arrow, they'll turn right while gaining altitude. If I hit the space bar and press the left directional arrow, however, they continue going in their original direction of travel. I never had this problem on my old computer.
Has anybody encountered this before and, even better, know how to fix it?
Thanks.
