Elec Control Optimum Slotting

Just toying with the idea of slotting out an Elec/Cold Controller, but not totally sure what a few of the powers need/benefit the most from.

Was thinking Decimations for Jolting Chain, just for the recharge time bonus as I had a few slots spare. (But you can get away with minimal slotting of this if I needed to, right?)

For Conductive Aura, the +Regen didn't look great so just some frankenslotting for Acc and End Mod? I thought the Energy Manipulator Stun proc could be fun in here too. (Thought any potential bugs?)

For Static Field I was just going to slot mule it for the sleep purples, and similarly I was going to use the confuse purples for Synaptic Overload. (Obviously they'll be very useful anyway).

Don't put the Energy Manipulator Proc into Conductive Aura. I played it 10 - 50 on my Dominator and found it to rarely trigger, and never at a key moment.

Looking at your Build, Conductive Aura is an awesome power, except for when it involves AVs, then sapping seems to be useless, but I would still 6 (or if not then 5) slot it.

You havent done it there, but do make sure you don't slot the sleep Proc in Static Field because its cheaper, its useless here.

Arctic Fog is abit... meh for defence really. You could take out Red Fortune, and put in a Lotg +rech, which would put you at 5 of those, and give more recharge overall. this would un softcap you, but you could then move over The steadfast Proc. and then either throw in a 1 Hammi-o to keep softcap, or change your slotting on Chain Fences by making it all Enfeebled Operation.

Synaptic Overload: Take out the Confuse enhancement, its only giving you 3 seconds, from 54 to 57 seconds confuse... plenty of time to reapply if you need it anyway, and saves you a slot.

Tactics, good place to push to softcapping, I would rarely run it, and not worry about the endurance in it, but thats up to you if you think you'll use it.

I would loose the force feedback from Fissure, they seem nice, but rarely add much. Even in AoEs.

And Jolting Chain, its a good place for the Devastation "Chance to Hold" Proc if you wanted it, My dominator doesnt need to go for damage in it, so I cant say how good an idea if is to slot a damage set, its up to you.

I've got you 5 free slots now.

Benumb could do with more accuracy I think, since its such long recharge. Conductive Aura could take a few more slots, but thats up to you, its probably fine as is.

Heatloss could take an extra slot.

And even Earths Embrace could benefit from a heal IO, but up to you. I've not made many changes, since it looks pretty decent overall.

Yes the Hammi-os are very expensive, but just run States for them or something.

Also consider where you want to go with your Alpha slot.

I already have 5 LotG's (Shields, CJ, Manuevers and Rock Armor).

I'll take that proc out of COnductive Aura, thanks. The Devastation Proc does look fun for Jolting Chain so I'll put that in. I've always liked the FF Proc in Fissure on my Plant/Storm and Fire/Kin - so I think I'll keep that in for now.

I figure I'll be running Tactics since it's not that bad an end drain and my +Recov should be reasonably good, especially with Conductive Aura running.

I guess the only thing I'm wondering now is how to slot Chain Fences. I was maybe thinking the End Mod set for 5% rech since immob duration is never really a problem and the extra -end (however small) may be of use. Or just to leave it with the immob set in, slot for a bit of damage and the purple immob hold proc..

Haven't looked at the second build but if you notice in the pm I sent you I slotted Acc in Heat Loss. Unless you're using HL as a +Recov buff and not a debuff you don't need Acc. Unless it has changed HL summons two pseudo pets, one that radiates from you and one that radiates from an enemy. The one from you is autohit and gives you the +recov buff while the one from the enemy requires a tohit check in order to do the debuff. Turbo_Ski has a very good guide that explains it better than I did.

HL is a great buff and equally as good a debuff so I think it's worth it to make sure the debuff hits unless you don't fight anything harder than a boss.
