Looking for Options /Kin

I have fell in love with /kin on my Fire/Kin Corrupter just love this guy to death very fun to play and have finally gotten him to 44 so with Elec mastery+fighting I have some nice resistance to take a few hits. I play in a static group with a few rl friends and my wife.

Now my friends dont play healer types at all so I'm normally stuck there which I dont mind and recently got my wife into the game(we all just got back into the game and this is the first time me and her playing together instead of just on one account) and she plays a healer type here and there but has gotten a real kick out of melee types lately so I am kinda thrown back into a healer AT and yes I know a Healer is not needed but it is nice as we like to take more then we can handle.

Now the question is other then Fire(as I have a Fire corrupter and have played a fire dom) what are some good small team and solo prims that couple well with /kin(like anything doesn't).

A friend of mine and I made a duo set. He had a Elec/Shield scrapper, and I had a Plant/Kin Controller (named "Flora the Explorer"). Great combo. The Scrapper gathered the group up into a nice tight group, and then I hit them with Seeds of Confusion, Roots and then can use Fulcrum, Transference and Transfusion while my buddy takes them down. Roots contributes substantially AoE damage, as does Creepers.

Then the next group, while Seeds was Recharging, would be his turn to use Build Up/Lightning Rod/Shield Charge to take down that group. Again, he would gather the aggro and wait for a second for AAO to saturate while I locked the foes in place with Roots. Then he hit them with the double whammy. By then, my AoE combo was back.

You want your melee character to be able to gather aggro. Most tanks will work (but WP has a weak aggro aura), and especially Invuln and Shield work for scrappers because they have good aggro auras. Plant/Kin is probably the second best AoE damage dealer for Controllers, but it is far safer thanks to the control powers. I recommend stealth -- it really helped with I put a Celerity Stealth proc in Super Speed for full invisibility. However, having Hover to let you float over the action is also very helpful.

I'll second the suggestion of Plant. It's a pretty straight forward control primary and not too busy like some of the other /kin combinations I have tried (thinking particularly of mind/kin). It's also more damage oriented that most Control sets and will benefit nicely from Fulcrum Shift.

I'll third the suggestion for Plant/Kin. It's very, very solid combo that's got good control and solid damage with some of my favorite powers in the game.

Really anything could work here.

Plant/Kin is very very strong.

I'm a bit weird in that I kind of like Ice / Kin as a support character. It's sort of Fire/Kins low(ish) damage cousin. It's not a farmer or major damage dealer--although contained, Fulcrum Shifted AoE blasts are going to hit hard no matter who casts them. What I like about Ice though is that it tends to calm your secondary down. After Ice Slick and possibly Shiver, you just need to stand in the general area where enemies are and can pretty much do your thing. Especially if your wife is a /Shield or Tank/Brute who can keep aggro off you. Kinetics also both solves Ice's endurance needs and lets you heal back what damage does get through.
