Newbie needs friends!

Hello all! Brand new player here. I'm coming to CoX after about four years of playing WoW because I felt like it was time to move on to something different. I just upgraded from the trial about two days ago and I'm really enjoying the game so far. It really is a whole different experience from playing Warcraft and that's exactly what I need.

I have a good deal of MMO experience and I think I'm learning the basics of the game pretty well, but the one thing I don't have is any friends that play the game. I chose the Freedom server because it seemed to consistently be the most populated, which I hoped would make it easier to find people to team up with. I'm easy-going, and I play at a pretty casual pace but I am extremely active. You can expect to see me on for at least 4 hours a day or more if I don't have to work. I'm open to joining a Super Group so long as the membership consists mainly of mature, friendly people.

I currently have 3 characters: a Hero (Lvl 10 Tech/Blaster), a Villain (Lvl 4 Magic/Brute), and a Praetorian (Lvl 2 Natural/MM). I'll probably be playing the Hero a lot but I'm happy to play any of my characters if the company is good. My Global is @Knowitall82, feel free to add me.

There's lot of people on Freedom, so you should find a great SG/VG and a lot of friends with no problem!

Today is going to be my last day for a while, because I'm about to open my own restaurant and I won't have time to play, but it's good to see new people joining.

I would suggest joining some global channels

There is the Mentor project to help new players such as yourself with questions and assistance. Link about it is in my signature. The global channel is N P C

I believe Freedom TF (it might be freedom tfs i know one was full) and RF2009 are two of the main channels for freedom

Welcome to CoX and to Freedom! I am relatively new to the game myself (6 months roughly) and friends are not hard to come by around here. The vast majority of people I've met are very friendly and helpful. If you ever need a teammate, shoot me a tell @Guardian Irish-Fury. Feel free to add me to your global friends list. I am a major altoholic and never know from day to day which toon I'll be logged in to.

As far as SGs go, I will take this opportunity to plug the one I am in. It is called Valhalla's Guard. We are a very active and large SG consisting of all play styles from the casual to the powergamer. We have a core group of 5 leaders who are very approachable, friendly, and helpful. We don't take things seriously, it is just a video game after all. We have a large fully functional base with TPs to all zones and worktables, storage, etc. We even have private quarters available for officers in the SG if you aspire to such a thing.
