Psi/MM/Force Pitfalls

Hey all,

So, my newest creation that I'm getting behind is a Psi/MM/Force Blaster. While I know that Robots and Carnies will give me some trouble along the way, I think I am capable of finding ways around them for most of my career. Are there any other enemies I should be looking out for?

Also, are there any powers in these sets which might look good on paper, but don't work too well in-game? The build I put together is a little slot-starved, so anywhere I could put in single-slot powers would be great.

I'm not planning on getting World of Confusion until later in my character's career, and possibly not until I can get a Contagious Confusion Proc. Is the power good enough that I should get it when it's available?

Thanks all!

Banished Pantheon
Vanguard Sword
Arachnos Widow variants(Fortunata, Night Widow)
Zombies
Psychic Clockwork

As for WoC, I think it's fine to wait until you get the purple set.

Pelvic Thunder - SS/Elec/Mu Brute

Scramble thoughts is like throwing dandelions at the mobs. Its on a 20 second recharge it takes 3 seconds to cast. By the time you have managed to stack it, you could have killed whatever the enemy was, and in the time it takes to cast there's a good chance they killed you.

World of confusion makes a good damage aura if you put the procs in it.

For that combo repulsion field is the hidden gem.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about Repulsion Field. I've got it in my build, but as the level 49 power. Should I take it a bit early? I want Repulsion Bomb (to shore up the AoE damage), Temp Invuln, and PFF as well, but I could take PFF at level 49 and be fine.

Would Repulsion Field work well with Drain Psyche? Or would I have to turn it off before I run in to get the Regen and Recovery boost? I'm guessing the later, but if that's the case, I probably just won't use DP unless I really needed it.

Good to know about Scramble Thoughts, too. Between that and the fear power from the secondary, I might be able to free up some power choices for CJ (aerial control and some defense) and maybe move other things earlier in the build, like WoC.

Thanks for the input, guys.

Be sure to take Telekinetic Blast and maybe Telekinetic Thrust... half their damage is smashing which is usually pretty effective against psi-resistant enemies. Plus the knockback can be decent mitigation.

Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name
