Computer freezes when opening menus

Ever since I19 or so, my computer decides to freeze up when opening menus. Namely, the badge menu, contact menu, player info, and clicking on contacts and bringing up the dialogue window freezes it as well. It doesn't happen all of the time, but it seems to only freeze while I'm in windowed mode, and only after I've been on the game for about 10 minutes.

If I avoid opening these menus I can play just fine, but, seeing as I like to dualbox some of my toons, this is really annoying.

Anyone have a solution?

After i19, i was prompted on the log in screen to update the driver for my video card. It directed me to the nvidia website and I did as advised. Since I did this, I've had the exact same issue you are describing, and I'm on a PC. I'll try to run in full screen and see if that helps.

I'm using an iMac, and it says it's version 10.6.6. Snow Leopard, I think?

I'll try those out to see if they do anything, thanks.

EDIT: Nope, still getting it. And it's not only confined to windowed mode anymore, either. It's happening when I'm running the game in fullscreen as well.

I've had the same issue for a while, it started with the second to last version of the Mac version. Not i19, but the version that was downloadable before i19 came online.

What I have found is that stores are safe, glowies are safe, and nearly all other interactive windows cause the crash. Background programs keep running, but can't be accessed, only rebooting the machine helps.

Geometry buffers on/off has no effect on this issue.

No other graphic setting I've been able to track down has any effect on this issue.

It is unique to the Mac Client, I've booted and played in my PC environment via bootcamp and it works fine. I get other crashes there that are related to the ATI card on my iMac.

If I join other people's teams, I can play forever without the crash. If I avoid the contacts and tips windows, the missions and badges windows are much less likely to cause the crash, but eventually they will also. If I talk to a specific contact they remain safe to talk to for a very long time, typically long enough to finish their arc, but I can't use the phone to talk to them (Crimson and Indigo's arcs are too long).

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Yep, this is the problem exactly.

I used the in-game support tool to report it. Is that the same as the help.ncsoft.com?
