problem with launcher
sounds like the physical folders are still there.
You'll need to delete the current existing folders in order to install on top of them.
Move the updater to your desktop, not a shortcut but the updater itself. Then you can run it from there and delete the desktop version afterwords.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
I ended up moving it to another folder, then moving it back. Though it did have to download the entire game. But it's working now at least.
Hey, I'm having the same problem as well but I dont particularly want to have to re-download and install. Is there a fix for this yet does anyone know?
There was a warning that using the Beta uninstaller would delete your regular installation. The CoH beta files might well still be on your system.
If they are still on your system, let the launcher start downloading to create the directory structure, then stop it and copy everything from the CoH Beta install to the regular directory, then restart the launcher. It will then move to "fixing files" after a verification check, thus cutting way down on the installation time.
I recently uninstalled my CoH beta folder, and installed a different game. Now when I try to run my normal CoH I get a popup that says
"Coh will be installed to C:\Program Files\City of Heroes Select NO to choose a different folder"
and if I try to let it install I get a popup that says "error opening C:\Pogram Files\City of Heroes/CoHUpdater.exe
You may be out of disk space or may be trying to install where you have insufficient permissions"
