It's i19--what do you think of the "classic" powersets?

Except for Burn on Scrappers. Seems to still have 'fear'.

How it applies damage is different as well. It does an initial hit of damage then DoT, rather than just DoT (the DoT period doesn't do as much damage to compensate). I prefer the change, though it's good to know how it works: you want at least five targets around you to get hit by that initial tick (unless you're soloing with fewer mobs), as you can't count on them taking as much damage from the DoT if they come in later.

Snake, are you sure about the Scrapper thing? I thought this was possibly because of that weird AI thing where mobs tend to run away if they have a lot of debuffs or DoT on them. I would have liked to know if Castle found anything for certain about that behavior before leaving (or for Black Scorpion or someone to say that there is something up... as it seems like an issue after Castle posting and saying how it's supposed to work).

First two characters were two rad/rad defenders, since one was going to be for a static team and the other for soloing/other teaming, which distinction quickly fell apart with the static team. Made before -resistance and -regen were significant in the game (not a lot of AVs when the game was heroside only and ended at lvl 40), they just seemed to have an interesting variety of powers. Got one to 50 and the other languished, no reason to play him till free server transfers came along and I could put him somewhere some friends had moved. Now fully IOed out and among my most often played lvl 50s.

A grav/FF controller, based on an awesome tabletop rpg character of mine who translated terribly to CoH, as its one of the least powerful characters I've played. Interesting effects, but there is so little this character can do to help a team that the rad/rad can't, sigh. . . Stalled a very long time around 10th level till Containment came into the game and it became possible to solo or duo at a non-glacial pace with controllers pre pet. Working on a PvP build for the character, maybe he'll find his niche there.

Well, I havent scientifically verified it

I have a 50 ss/fire brute, and i dont have runners from burn. I was on a team with a spines/fire scrapper, and he had runners like crazy, so i assumed his burn still had fear. It could of very well been the Spines damage aura though, so sorry that I might of spoke before knowing the facts.

This was my first MMO and I created a handfull and deleted several characters on different servers before settling down. Of the ones that still exist on my home server of Virtue, there are only two that I can trace back from many years ago.

Sakkidatta: Katana/Regen Scrapper. I have barely touched him in years. He was my badger (before I felt badges became unfun) and my first 50. He was a blast to play back in the day. I generally don't play my 50's alot once they hit 50 and Sakki fell to the wayside due to roleplay reasons and just the fact I don't really know how to get back into playing him after so long.

Emily Bower: SS/Inv Brute. I don't know if this is considered "Classic", but I consider it so. I've had her since around mid 06 and she was my first Villain 50. She was a blast to play and was my villain badger back when I cared about badges. She also fell to the wayside due to roleplay issues. I've milled around the idea of playing her again but it's been atleast 3 years since she was seriously played. Invul has changed quite abit since then, she needs a complete respec, and I really don't feel like trying to cobble together IO sets for her. I've been more tempted lately because she was always intended to be a Hero (and was roleplayed as such). Now she can finally go to Paragon, but I'm not sure if I'll ever bother.
