Nevermind, fixed it
LA, you might want to explain how you fixed it, in case others encounter the same problem

Apparently it was a temp fix and now I am getting a message that "the OPENGL driver problem detected with display driver, Error code 4". Anyone who is a Nvidia guru please help.

Those need addressing. Also, in your Browser helpers (BHO) you might want tto get rid of any toolbars you don't need. Some of those are just nasty and can cause problems.

The only other thing I can think of is that your video driver got corrupted. You might want to do a clean install.
Uninstall, go to safe mode and use a driver cleaner , reboot then reinstall the driver. Here is a nice free one:

You might want to download Malwarebytes (the FREE version) and run it to see if there are any lurking nasties that need to be gotten rid of.

I found an interesting issue with OpenGL games with nVidia cards (all I own). Go into your nVidia control panel, manage 3D settings, and go into your global settings. 9th option down is "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration" and it's default is multiple monitors. Switch it to single monitor and see if that helps. I had problems with a couple OpenGL games crashing out on my XP system until I switched this setting, at which point all crashing stopped.
I have no idea why this works, but it has helped on more than one machine I've seen crashing OpenGL apps. If you had already made this change, then I really have no other info.

Jeremy has a great point. The 'multiple monitors' is the default setting! If you only use one monitor, this should always be set to single. Good catch, Jeremy.

Jeremy's suggestion has stabilized my gaming time and no crashes since I last posted.

I was just playing and a my mouse stopped for a moment then returned to normal, then a few minutes later it happened again this time with the chime like something was unplugged. So I exited and there was a message about incompatiblity of my OpenGL. Now I am no expert but what the heck does that mean? The only thing I had playing was my music in the background. Is this the issue?
