Best sets to duo with?

You: Any Scrapper or Brute
Her: Just about any Corruptor, Defender, or Controller.
BAM, you're awesome!
You could try something with high Defense, and she could be Kinetics and you'd be set -- you'd survive alpha, she'd heal you and max your damage and voila.

How would you describe your wife's play style/speed?
Does she want it simple, or complicated? IE. something requiring lots of button pushes, or something that's fairly straight forward?
If she's played before, what kind of characters/ ATs has she like/hated? Is she ok with being a buff-bot or damage doer?
Does she want to go fast and loose, or methodical and paced?
Because Blasters, Controllers, Defenders, Scrappers, Stalkers, Khelds, Corruptors, Doms, Widows, Spiders and Masterminds could all qualify. Heck even an off tank/brute would too, like a fire/fire tank or brute.
What does she want out of her experience playing the game?
Throwing darts at the board to see if something sticks.....

Probably a simple corr would work for her. I have no idea about Corrs though, as all I have played are melee.
Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?
Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?
She likes corruptors? My knee jerk reaction is Fire/Dark. It's pretty straight forward and very powerful.

My wife suggested Plant/Rad controller. I'd suggest she take a look at an Archery/Trick Arrow Corruptor as well. Have you decided on a toon you want to create to pair with her?

So many choices... that is the "blessing" of CoX.
When hubby (Rangle) tanks, I break out my kin defender.
For his scrappers, I tend to go for my 'troller (plant/rad).
But, y'know, sometimes I just feel like jumping in and smashing things too... so I'll break out my fire/fire scrapper (but that does generate some aggro).
Something "in between" might be a fire/kin 'troller... haven't tried that one yet, though I've heard good things.
You may have noticed that these are all "hero" AT's, because I don't really play villies (I have grand total of 1, a Praet.). So I'll let others toss out ideas from the "other side" of the fence.

Thanks for all the replies folks. We decided to roll fire.dark corruptors, working on our costumes and backstories now. Thx for the input.

So, finally got my wife to agree on playing CoX again. Her only criteria is she doesn't want to have to be the one who runs in first. Easy enough for me. I've been playing since about a month after release and all I've managed to play are Scrappers and Brutes. I think I have a tank at 34.
I like sealing AoE damage, and I have a scrapper and a brute built specifically to solo AV's.
With this in mind, I ask, what would be a solid duo set.
We would occasionally team with others, mostly for TF's.
