Writer/Director Blake Edwards passed away yesterday. The guy's body of work, most notably The Pink Panther movies he did with Peter Sellers, stand out. He was 88, so he definitely had a very long and full life (he was also married to Julie Andrews), and though he hasn't made a film in years I feel like another icon of my youth is gone.

And if you've never seen it, The Party is one of the greatest comedies ever made, and not too many people have heard of it.

Arc# 92382 -- "The S.P.I.D.E.R. and the Tyrant" -- Ninjas! Robots! Praetorians! It's totally epic! Play it now!

Arc # 316340 -- "Husk" -- Azuria loses something, a young woman harbors a dark secret, and the fate of the world is in your hands.

But one of his first notable successes were Breakfast at Tiffany's, Operation Petticoat and the TV series Peter Gunn.

He not only produced and directed movies but he also wrote a lot of very early TV series.

He was truly a talent of his age. Sad to see him go.

Man, The Pink Panter movies were a blast and I remeber Operation:Petticoat as a movie and TV series.

Big Pink Panther fan here. My parents loved those movies and I watched them tons of times on old VHS tapes as a kid. The timing in those movies and the other character's interactions and reactions to Peter Sellers shows some great direction.
