Hrm. If I were able to get Fire Blast slotted up, wouldn't an attack chain of Siphon Life > Fire Blast > Midnight Grasp > Fire Blast be significantly better?

Last I recall, MiDS damage number, takes getting every tick to activate, to determine it's DPS.

I believe Smite was still the better DPS, because the average ticks would lower the damage.

Also I think your DPE went up...though, I like both builds and the DPS isn't probably that big of a difference, and the FB - MG - FB - SL chain varies up the damage type nicely for you, and gives a good range attack to be up often.

That build just may be more fun for the ApexTF.

Keep MG-Smite-SL-Smite. Mids has the blasts listed incorrectly as doing double their normal damage. Until we get access to Gloom, I do not think any ancillary blast was shown to be worth inclusion in an ST chain save Elec/Shield using Fire Blast if you absolutely had to have Pyre Mastery.

Yeah, that Fire Blast damage is way wrong.

It should be 62.56 fire damage, with an 80% chance of four ticks of 6.256 more. If you assume all ticks land, that's a total of 87.584 and an Arcanatime DPA of 66.35. If you take the average, it's 82.592 for an ADPA of 62.57.

Smite should be 62.5 Negative plus 20.02 Smashing, for a total of 82.52, and a ADPA of 69.46.

It's a good thing to have a well slotted single-target ranged attack, IMO, but I wouldn't give up my melee chain to get it. If you only care about performance at near-50, that probably affects the decision some - losing Fire Blast due to exemplar would be a serious bummer with that build, IMO. I don't think you have the global Accuracy there to use Smite in your chain if you wanted to.

I knew something had to be wrong with the numbers on Fire Blast.

Oh well. It really would've been in-theme for Succubus Kali to mix it up with some hellfire in her attack chain. It looks like I will be keeping Smite then. Thanks folks!

I'd still replace the Panacea Proc, with a P.Shifter Proc in Stamina. The Regen you can handle without, the added +END will go a long way.

And if you'd like to use the Fire Blast, I'd say go for it...Smite->MG->FB->SL->Repeat, not a an extreme loss in DPS, and if you think the fireblast would be better for the concept, I say do it! Make the toon more enjoyable to play. And even with this build, you can still go SM->MG->SM->SL

New build I might go for.

  1. Trading the Shield Wall and Panacea proc for 12.5% more global Recharge. This extra Recharge in addition to the Very Rare Spiritual Core Paragon boost should put me at perma-Hasten, or within a couple of seconds of it. Worth the trade?
  2. Oh crap, I'm slotting Brawl! What's wrong with me?! No really, it saves me 1 Enhancement Slot and allows me to put in the purple IO set for Midnight Grasp.
  3. Same goal as before - indestructible without giving up too much DPS for it.

As stated before:
  1. Trading the Shield Wall and Panacea proc for 12.5% more global Recharge. This extra Recharge in addition to the Very Rare Spiritual Core Paragon boost should put me at perma-Hasten, or within a couple of seconds of it. Worth the trade?
  2. Oh crap, I'm slotting Brawl! What's wrong with me?! No really, it saves me 1 Enhancement Slot and allows me to put in the purple IO set for Midnight Grasp.
  3. Same goal as before - indestructible without giving up too much DPS for it.

I have Defenses near the soft cap, and with a few enemies around, surpass it. I have SL near scrapper cap. Good regen and recovery. I am not a rich character, but if you see something you think can help, let me know.

Slight tweak on the proposed build I would be going to:

  1. Got Energy/Negative Energy a little over the softcap now. Not a huge achievement, considering it was only 0.4% away from softcap before.
  2. Made Fire Blast a little more usable. Where I might need a Ranged attack now, Fire Blast won't be too bad to use.

Iggy, what do you think about these points? Going from the current build to the proposed build, that is.
  1. Trading the Shield Wall and Panacea proc for 12.5% more global Recharge. This extra Recharge in addition to the Very Rare Spiritual Core Paragon boost should put me at perma-Hasten, or within a couple of seconds of it. Worth the trade?
  2. Oh crap, I'm slotting Brawl! What's wrong with me?! No really, it saves me 1 Enhancement Slot and allows me to put in the purple IO set for Midnight Grasp.
  3. Same goal as before - indestructible without giving up too much DPS for it.
Correct statement on number 1? Incorrect? Are these bad trade offs from the previous build? Thanks!

The Panacea you could probably do without. The Shield Wall might be worth it. Going off from that build, I'd probably pull off the 6th slot on Smite for it. So I would probably go with the recharge build.

If I could have perma-Hasten, perma-Soul Drain, perma-Dull Pain, Smashing/Lethal Resist almost hardcapped, and softcapped S/L/F/C/E/N Defense with 1 foe in Melee on my DM/Inv/Blaze I would be the happiest person in the world!

Incredible. Just incredible! I am impressed at how with the help of the community I've been able to squeeze every single drop of power out of my DM/Inv.

At the beginning Succubus Kali was softcapped at F/C/E/N Defense with (I believe) no Hasten and was using Body Mastery. Bad idea, I know, so she changed up her build to have S/L softcapped and F/C/E/N at 40%. With the introduction of Hasten and the Spiritual boost she was able to do the MG > SM > SL > SM attack chain. Satisfied with my single target chain I still wanted to do something about my lack of regular AoE. Again the community helped out on how to get Fireball in the build for me all the while raising the F/C/E/N Defense up to where S/L was at... 45%! Thanks to Inherent Fitness there was more room to pick up crucial powers. From there on it was some smaller changes until we've come up with a build that is so incredibly well suited for my playstyle!

On the horizon is the Rare and Very Rare Spiritual boosts, which should only serve to increase my Damage and Damage Mitigation! I look forward to it.

I greatly appreciate all of you folks that have contributed! Thank you so very much!

With this tentative (I don't dare say final!) build I would only have 11 IOs to buy. Well within my grasp, and sooner rather than later!
