Been having problems getting onto the forums, or doing anything else with the forums. Is there a reason for this?

Are you going to make us guess what the nature of your problem is?

sorry.

Whenever I tried to access the forums for the past couple of days, it would time out, but it was also quite intermittent as to when it would and when it wouldn't. Sometimes I'd be able to view a page, but more often than not it would just time out over and over again, sometimes showing as loading on my task bar for upwards of fifteen minutes at a time.

I asked a few other friends if they were having these problems, and they said they had also been experiencing issues with viewing the forums, and for a while even visiting the main city of heroes webpage was difficult. So I was just curious if there had been any problems going on with the forums or not.

*EDIT*
There was another thread started that I was unable to see that also mentions this:

For example, it took me approx 10 minutes just to go from clicking submit on my post to viewing that the post was up.

I believe there are 2 seperate issues, both of which I suffer from. The older one mentioned in Maestro's link has to do with being logged out of the forums intermittently.

I believe the one the OP is suffering from is that the forums have been unbearably slow (to the point of timing out, but sometimes I would come back 30 minutes later to a loaded page) for the past few days. It started for me on Friday and seemed to have just been fixed. I asked my SG on Friday night and I was the only one suffering from it so I assume it's ISP related (I'm on Comcast Atlanta, BTW). Only affects boards.cityofheroes.com, all other sites I tried load quickly.

Either way, you are not alone, but it looks like the slowness was just corrected for me. Hopefully for you too.

I'm on Comcast in NJ. I have the same unbearable slowness-to-load.

And this is indeed a separate issue from being logged out at whim.

I'm in australia. Same deal I generally go look at something else offsite for a bit and come back to it. Sometimes going back to the forum home page helps but not always. It could be people working behind the scenes.

I've been unable to access the forums since Thursday evening. I posted about it on Facebook and of course I got them to load. I posted about that and lost forum access again until this evening.

All other sites loaded fine. Just no www.cityofheroes.com or boards.cityofheroes.com

Both sites got ping responses, flushing the dns cache did nothing, and all attempts to correct it did absolutely no good.

Hopefully whatever it was is fixed for good.
