You do not need to buy a disc and re-install it. Just backup the files onto a DVD and copy them back onto your drive after reformat. The only thing that matters is your account name and password. You can log into the game from any computer with those.
You can also download the game at any time at ftp://client.coh.com/US/CohUpdater.exe.

There's one very important thing when copying the backed-up game into your new system: you need the Windows registry entry. Otherwise, every time you run the game, it'll try to download everything again.

I haven't decided yet but I'm considering backing up certain portions of my computer and reformatting it. It's just gotten really slow as of late and cleaning and running scans seem to be doing little to nothing.
The CoX games are the only ones on my computer that I'm concerned about and I don't believe I have the discs anymore so I'd have to go buy the Arch version or something along those lines to reinstall it. If I do this will I have to put in a new serial number? And if I do will I loose any packs and Going Rogue that I've bought through the NCSoft store and applied to my current account?
I'm thinking I can just install it and then just log on as normal but I don't want to take the risk before knowing for sure.
