Thinking of getting a new graphics card
I'm not sure it's worth the money unless you cannot afford another computer and your video card dies.
There isn't much if anything above what you have for AGP. Nowadays it's all PCI-E (I'm in the same boat).

nVidia basically gave up on AGP once they went to Dx10 compatible cards. There are a few from ATI over at NewEgg. The HD 4650 or 4670 seems to be it in power. I'm guessing twice as fast, maybe more.
Problem is a single core P4, extreme or not, is comparatively weak nowadays, do you really want to poor money, $80-125 (60-105 after rebate), into an old rig?

I have a fairly decent, if out-dated computer, and I was considering replacing the video card. Currently I have an nVidia 7800GS based card in it... what I'm wondering is: what is the absolute best AGP 8x video card I can buy?
