Traps require you to be on the ground?

I was planning to have my Traps character run Hover to take advantage of Ranged Defense, but I can't recall if Acid Mortar and Poison Trap require you to be grounded. Can you just float down close to the ground, or would you have to toggle any flight power off?

Just float down close to the ground and the powers activate, then float away to safety.

Damn the man! It doesn't let you do it during the forced post-teleport hover though, which is a bit upsetting. I would love to have my MM porting all over the battlefield dropping traps and triage beacons that fast.

Maybe I'll pop on test and see what happens with TP + Hover + Traps, unless someone already has that going on and wants to chime in.

Substantial time for you to find yourself on the receiving end of a particularly nasty life-depleting barrage of nastiness. The combination of the forced multi-second hover and the time it takes for you to set the traps would pretty much guarantee your death.

Hey I got a level just by looking at Stormy's avatar. Cool.

I like combat jumping better for bonus defense.

Erm... Hover has the same defense bonus.

I like to use Combat jumping with fly, toggle it for super responsive flying... try it out makes you very agile.

I believe he means that if he's picking one of the "bonus defense" powers, he'd rather combat jumping over hover.

If you're teleporting all over the battle field, aren't you going to be out of your FF gen's bubble most of the time? In addition, unless you've given it a Grant Invis, it'll probably wind up inadvertently doing some herding as it tries to catch up with you.
