Ninja Blade/Electric Armor Help

Hiya folks,
I don't have much experience making IO set builds but I've got a stupid amount of money and not a lot to do. I've been experimenting in Mids and came up with this build.

(Positive) Criticism would be appreciated, along with any tips to boot.

Thanks in advance.

Set bonuses to shoot for for nin/elec (if you stick with the stalker version): +rech, +defense, +hp, +regen. Your defense and regen look good, but your recharge and hp need some work.

Gambler's Cut > Sting of the Wasp

Slotting for SotW and Flashing Steel just won't do.

You don't need that much +recov on an /elec, because both Energize and Power Sink make end problems go away. For the same reason, Weapons Mastery is not your best choice.

If you have silly amounts of money you want to throw at this, you should try for perma Energize (around 205% global recharge with hasten plus another 100% rech in the power gets it), ~20% defense to m/r/a when all stealths are suppressed, stalker hp cap (1606), mid 20s hp/sec regen. You'd have to take a hit in resistance to get that, but if you switch to Soul or Leviathan patron you can get extra survivability there. You also have basically zero usable AoE, which you could fix at the same time. You might also want to enhance the damage on divine avalanche so it does some whittling while buffing you.

Reiraku,

I opened up your build and first thing I noticed was the defense and resistances (without Power Surge on) were considerably higher than my build. While I didn't take the time to check specifically how you achieved this, I did briefly check the set bonuses and saw that my build offered higher defense and damage bonuses, while yours offers higher accuracy and recharge time bonuses. So my gut tells me to go with your build because, well I just know you're probably better at this than I am, but I wonder if there's a way to boost the defense back up to the set bonuses I had?

Thanks for the responses you two.

The real trick was getting higher recharge times for more frequent uses of Shadow Meld and Energize. Between those two, you shouldn't have any problems with mitigation.

Totally disagree. For straight damage, sting comes out on top, and while GC might theoretically give you a better proc/crit chance, when slotting procs in there you're also losing non-proc damage, in essence basically evening out total DPS.

However once you factor in any damage bonuses from IO slotting, you're actually getting more overall DPA from sting.

I responded in the other thread about the two, but I just want to point out here that adding IO bonuses/damage buffs does not let SotW pull ahead, as the base damage per second of activation time on Gambler's Cut is better. You can test this by calculating the dps of both and then doing it again with Build Up on.

Both the DPA and DPS of Gambler's Cut are superior to Sting of the Wasp. Once you add in IO's, it gets even better.

Gambler's all the way.

Now that issue 19 is here, do you have any suggestions on Nin/Ele builds?

Personally I am looking at end game. No price limit on anything. If it costs a lot I will ether save up or get it myself eventually.

I am bumping this, because I really could use help with a post I19 build and don't want to start another thread.
