Thread title should have been "trade for," not "trade of," whatever that means.

Since the Devs are allowing people to generate a "black market" demand for these codes on eBay you could always sell a code you have for a few hundred bucks then turn around and buy the code you want with that money...
Just pointing this out.

Well, that's why I'm trying NOT to be silly and offering a straight up trade for a code I want, but don't have. That way, two people - myself and the person with whom I am trading are not exploiting the Dev's generosity for personal monetary gain.
Hopefully this thread won't be closed since I don't have any intention of buying or selling codes.

Believe me...Im not disagreeing with you at all. They could easily put out a pack with NPC costume codes and make profit themselves from it (if you are able to use the NCSoft store with no problems). That would be one of the few packs Id be willing to pay for. But ive already said as much in many different posts (such as those regarding the 'origins' pack and 'party' pack)

I used to think they could make a bundle selling a costume code pack as well, but now I'm not so sure.
There's a vocal minority on the forums who call for these things, but I don't think they would sell well to the general public. There's just not enough bang for the buck - you can't customize them at all and if you are mezzed or you use an Oro portal, they are suppressed and you have to turn them back on.
I frankly like them because A) I have a spefic RP character that they are essential to - a handicapped by who fights crime by possessing other people's bodies, and B) I'm a "collector" and collecting these, while often frustrating, is also kind of fun.

A received one of the Rikti costume codes as a completely unsolicited gift from a fellow player and forum-goer. It's a simple little thing, but counts as one of my favorite highlights of playing this game, ever.

My guess is that it would cost them next to nothing to organize a set of those costume codes together into a Booster Pack and I imagine there are enough "collectors" like you out there who would buy it regardless of any open whining over it.
Ultimately it comes down to what the Devs want to do. Would they rather put up with third-party buying/selling/trading of these codes and miss out on an extra source of income from the entire playerbase just to make the tiny fraction of players who can go to these public gatherings happy? If the answer is yes to that then they'll have to accept people selling these codes for hundreds of dollars on eBay. The choice is theirs. *shrugs*

One difference that might cause them to make a Code pack even for a smaller market than the other boosters is - Most of the real work is done. They'd just have to set it up in the store.

I have most (but not all) of the earlier costume codes thanks to winning them during the Party Pack give-away.
I had a trade set up with someone who went to the recent meet-n-greet where they gave away the Meat Doctor costume code, but it's starting to look like that's not going to happen after all.
So, if you have an unused Meat Doctor code, and you're willing to trade it one-for-one for one of the earlier costume codes, shoot me a PM and let me know which one(s) you're interested in.
