Limitations of the free trial on going rogue?

The thing is I wont be able to afford going rogue for a while so I am thinking maybe just reactivating my account but I do not want to do that if I cannot change the colors of my powers so a few questions.

Max level for going rogue.

Any limitations as far as upgrades etc are concerned?

Any crafting limitations?

And what powersets are only available for going rogue and is the color changing only from going rogue?

Thanks allot.

Weapon Customization has been available since i11.
Power Customization has been available since i16.

If you are reactivating your existing account, then I assume you already purchased the game at some point, in which case there is no specific level limit other than 50. If you don't have Going Rogue already, then you wont have access to those features on your old account until you buy it anyway.

I almost forgot to ask is there any way I can play the free trial of going rogue of my old account? Id rather not invest into a characer I wont have access to.

If you don't have Going Rogue you will have the following limitations:
1. Cannot use the new powersets (Demons, Dual Pistols, Kinetic Melee and Electric Control)
2. Cannot access Praetoria or have characters start there
3. Cannot do Morality missions to change/affirm your alignment (although you can do tip missions if you want)
4. Cannot use the Incarnate content in Going Rogue.
5. Cannot access the Alpha and Omega costumes

Everything else, include weapon customization, power customization and alternate animations does not require GR.

To answer one of your specific questions in more depth, Going Rogue does not raise the level limit above 50 (although trial accounts are limited to level 14) but the Incarnate system is intended as a means for level 50 characters to become more powerful and that does require Going Rogue (but only the first part is coming soon and it will only give a small bonus).

To my knowledge there is no way to do a GR trial on a full account.

Trial Account

Overview

Trial Accounts allow a player to take City of Heroes, City of Villains, and Going Rogue for a test run. They are free and last either 10 or 14 days, depending on the source of the Trial Account code. Up until Issue 12, a Trial Account was not limited in what it could do; as of Issue 12, there are several restrictions put in place. Most of these restrictions were placed due to RMT spam.

Restrictions

Trial Accounts cannot email other players
Trial Accounts may not level past 14
Trial Accounts can only have 50k influence
Trial Accounts may not join global channels
Trial Accounts can only speak in
/local
/hc (the Help channel)
/team
Trial Accounts cannot invite players to team
Trial Accounts may join teams, but not invite other players
Trial Accounts may not join SuperGroups.
Trial Accounts may not create Mission Architect arcs. They can not interface with the Architect Entertainment Stations. However, they can be invited onto a team that is running MA missions.

Pre-existing accounts cannot get access to Going Rogue content without upgrading the account first. Only new accounts can access Going Rogue as a part of their trial accounts.

Still level 50. From all reports we have gotten, the level cap will never be raised beyond 50. Instead of giving us another number to reach, the devs in CoH are giving us more stuff to do at level 50 instead. And with the upcoming Incarnate content, we can become even more powerful without our level going up.

Personally, I think continually raising the level cap and giving us the same old enemies with more HP would be the lazy way to do it, and I'm glad the devs decided not to go that route.

Not sure what you're asking about here. If you mean enhancements, then your only limitation is being of a high enough level to equip teh enhancement in question. Otherwise, you are only limited by inventory space and how much you can afford (some of the Invention Origin enhancements are extremely expensive)

Demon Summoning, Dual Pistols, Kinetic Melee, and Electric Control are the powersets you need Going Rogue to play. Depending on how long it's been since you played last, you may not see too much that's new, or there could be a whole lot of stuff that is new to you. We still get new powersets for free occasionally, and they have been proliferating more sets lately (giving powersets that would fit an AT to those that didn't have them before, example, Tankers and Scrappers got Electric Melee and Armor, when before only Stalkers and Brutes had them)

No, customizing your powers' colors is available to everyone, and has been since issue 16 came out around this time last year. [/QUOTE]

Note: Almost all primary/secondary powersets are customizable with the notable exception of peacebringers, warshades, and the Arachnos Widow/Soldier powersets.

Also you can't customize pool powers (including epic/patron pools)

Here's more information on what is and is not changeable: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Power_Customization

This is my sad face.

I just started a plant/nrg dominator and I'm loving her so far, but long term was looking to add Primal Forces Mastery to shore up the lack of melee and AoE that dominator energy has. I colored her secondary to evoke a sunshine theme, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. If I won't be able to color PFM, I may have to rethink things. Has there ever been any mention of making pool powers customizable?

It's been bought up a lot. The devs have acknowledged that they recognize it's something we want but apparently it's a lot of work to implement.

I think it was mentioned that all the pool powers was considered to be about 3.5 powersets worth - not sure about APPs.

The main issue is coding to make it workable without having the character data possibly include data for every customizable pool power in the game.

On the plus side we can probably get alternate hover and fly poses when it happens based on the alternate animation tech.
