Player in SG comes back for free trial as they have not been on in ages and they say they are so broke they cant afford to eat let alone game sub.
I pay for their sub for a month so they can play.
Find out they have been out partying etc etc

People that play this game are only human; and with the thousands that play, you're going to get some very bad apples. Don't let the one bad apple that you ran into spoil your fun. Global ignore and move on. At least...that's what I would do. Someone can only destroy your good time if you let them.

And an experience like CK's can really ruin the game. At least for a little while. But it does wear off with time. So maybe it's best to take some time away, a couple months to cool off, do some other things, then come back when he can log in without grinding his teeth.
Given that i have met the player in question 2-3 times as they come home for x mas to their parents maybe 8 miles away it will take a fair bit for me to re sub.
I have been concentrating on doing stuff around the home , my family and another forum linked to my preferred way to commute the 10 miles each way to work...

Sometimes, it's good to take a break for a while. Maybe come back after Christmas and see if it's any better for you.

Yes its a fond farewell to COX for me, what with work being very hectic we are doing 2 hours overtime a day for the foreseeable future then at the weekend i am spending extra time with mini CK to make up for it .
Upshot is i do not get time to log in and play for any meaningful amount of time , i might get 20 mins a day so i do not ask for teams etc as it would just be annoying to regular players.
When things die down i might be back
