This is something quickly thrown together while waiting for coffee to brew at work, hopefully it'll give you something to work with. If you're ok with not having a travel power I suggest taking taunt, even solo to keep things nice and close for spin.

Is the S/L cap necessary for your purposes? I run at 33% S/L defense and pop a small purple when necessary. In general, I don't find it necessary though (admittedly I only run at +1/x6, so not the highest of high end brutes, I guess).
Generally combat goes like this:
- Run Lightning Field
- Jump into mob, hit follow up on toughest mob.
- Power Sink
- Spin
(At this point most minions have a sliver of life ... )
- If things look ugly, jump out, Shockwave + Energize, then continue the beatdown
- If things are fine, keep wailing away, Spin when up, make sure bosses are Focus'd ... I dunno, generally that suffices for most encounters including Vanguard (although I toned the diff down to +0 / x5 for the Gaussian arc)
Hey Nimps, just wanted to add a couple of comments on your build that I thought were worth pointing out :
- Slotting the Mocking Bereavement Acc/Rech into Follow Up - I had issues getting the 4x Kinetic Combat in there with enough Rech and Accuracy to suit, but this solves things very neatly.
- Slotting the Winter's Gift IO - tried this recently and the combo of Lightning Reflexes + Winter's Gift actually makes caltrops patches semi-tolerable.
Nice build for what you're trying to achieve - a bit over slotted on recovery and end, IMO, but nicely put together.

This is my claw/elec. i ignored L/S def, aimed for a little pure melee, and went for higher recharge. If the going gets tough i'll have good resistances plus near perma energize to fall back on.

Okay I give. I've combed the forums for the past few days and I am coming up empty. I am horrible at creating builds in Mids, I have a hard time putting them together for some as-of-yet unknown reason.
Can someone put me on easy-mode for a claws/electric armor? I know it has issues with the s/l cap, and to get there requires Obliterate and other expensive IO sets, but given time I think I can pull it off. Currently sitting at 35, but hoping some of you seasoned build makers can lend a hand.
